Key Points
91 playable games came out of Vibeathon Round 1. The Top 8 are now in Round 2, with final submissions due November 7.
Atia’s Legacy is turning its next playtest toward players who have never heard of Axie.
Hosted Land Plots could let players without land bring their Axies to empty plots and share rewards with the landowner.
Nightmare Axies earn more Atia’s Flame in Terrariums for Halloween.
The level cap is planned to rise from 60 to 120, with a much steeper XP curve.
1. The Axie Vibeathon: 91 Games and Counting
The Vibeathon started with a simple bet. AI tools have improved fast, and Axie has years of art and assets. Could the community build its own Axie games?
Jaatster hoped for 30 to 40 submissions. Round 1 brought in 91 playable games. Most came from beginners, many building a game for the first time.
“I feel like building games sometimes is more fun than playing games.” - Jaatster
The Top 8 are now in Round 2. Each finalist is turning a prototype into a full game loop. Play their builds, share feedback in the Axie Discord, and help them improve before final submissions close on November 7. The showcase follows on November 12, with a 20,000 bAXS prize pool.
Every Round 1 game stays playable on the Vibeathon platform.
Every Round 1 builder gets a badge for their submission.
The winner will work with the team on a path into the Axie ecosystem. One idea is featuring Vibeathon games on the Bounty Board.

Jihoz explained why this matters beyond one contest. Axie has always been an IP that teaches people new technology, first blockchain and now AI. The old Builders Program took so long that teams were worn out before launch. AI changes that.
“The people who start understanding how it works and start using it are going to have a huge leg up in the future.” - Jihoz
2. Built With AI: Bringing Back the Classic Lunacia Look
Midway through the Lounge, the team opened a new AI-built Axie world and dropped the link in chat. Within minutes, Lunacians were walking their Axies around a shared land, gathering at a campfire, and chatting in real time.
The look was a deliberate choice. The team missed the isometric style of early Lunacia, so they used AI to bring it back: sandy tiles, chunky logs, round shrubs, and Axies drawn in the original art style.
“We missed the isometric art style. Let’s bring it back.” - Jihoz
What the experiment already achieves:
Classic art, rebuilt fast: an isometric world made from Axie’s own art assets.
Live multiplayer: players joined straight from the stream, with names above every Axie and a shared Plaza chat.
A world that changes: a Day/Dusk cycle and a campfire at the centre, with ideas for decorations, towers, and defences that nudge it toward survival crafting.
This is also why Atia’s Legacy can focus on new players. AI lets the team try web3 ideas quickly in small experiments, so the main game doesn’t have to carry every one.
“Now Jaatster can just create new worlds every night: cool web3 experiments, new gameplay loops.” - Cruise

3. Atia’s Legacy: Built for Players Who’ve Never Met an Axie
Each playtest so far answered one question. Playtest 1 shaped combat. Playtest 2 tested the core PvE loop. Playtest 3 tested the main PvP experience.
The next playtest asks something new.
“What does that non-Axie, non-web3 player think about Atia’s Legacy? That’s a big question we haven’t really asked in a long time.” - Cruise
The team is packaging Playtests 1–3 into a refined vertical slice and running interviews with players from outside web3. If you’re reading this, you’re probably not who they’re interviewing. The results will be shared back in the Lounge.
Core development continues alongside it:
Multiplayer dungeons and raids: improved core loop progression and FUN!
Long-term progression: equipment and Axies that level up over time
Performance and PC: a smoother build with native keyboard and mouse support
Jihoz shared why. A longtime player in Singapore told him his nephew usually gets bored of Axie games and goes back to Fortnite. With the recent Atia’s Legacy playtests, even at an early stage, the kid was hooked.
“We need to break out of the crypto echo chamber.” - Jihoz
4. Terrariums: Hosted Plots, Halloween, and Level 120
Terrariums has gone from v1 to v1.3 in the past few months. Pos2 shared what the team is exploring next. Nothing here is final, and the team wants your feedback.
Hosted plots: Some landowners have more plots than Axies. Many players have Axies but no land. Hosted plots bring them together. A landowner opens a plot, a player brings their Axies, and both share the rewards automatically. Landowners can set requirements, such as a minimum Atia’s Flame.
“This is good for land holders, and this is good for Axie holders.” - Pos2
Halloween Flame. For Halloween only, Nightmare Axies earn more Atia’s Flame. If it works, the team may rotate boosts between Axie types, so each week plays differently.
Level 120. Many Axies have already hit the level 60 cap. The plan is to raise it to 120 and make the climb hard: 60 to 70 will take about as much XP as 1 to 60. Level 120 Axies will be rare in preparation for level 3 part evolutions.
5. Bounty Board, Codex, and Garuda Shop
Bounty Board: new quest types, point changes, and new rewards are being explored. One idea is points that rise on their own for quests nobody is picking up, leveraging AI to power the data system and quest creation workflows, which will help with points efficiency per quest.
Codex: more ways to play next season.
Garuda Shop: after a recent Ronin upgrade, 1,000 pouches no longer fit in a single transaction. The new limit will be lower, and the team is working on a better fix.
Tell the team what you want on the Bounty Board in Discord!
6. Axie Classic: Moving Toward the Community
Work continues on moving the Axie Classic IP to the Axie Foundation so the community can build on it. A few legal steps still need to be finished first.
Community Q&A Highlights
Q: When is the next Atia’s Legacy playtest?
Cruise: Soon however it’s a refined vertical slice built for new-players, to expand beyond our core community and audience. We need to see how good the game is with traditional players.
Q: Are casual activities like fishing and crafting coming to Atia’s Legacy?
Cruise: Yes. We’re testing a bunch internally and working on making them extra fun.
Q: What will vertical progression look like?
Cruise: We’re using AI to prototype several progression systems at once and playtest them. The more you use a weapon, the more proficient you get, and your Axies will have their own progression too.
Q: Will Atia’s Legacy have an open economy?
Cruise: Yes. An open economy with valuable assets and trading is still the end goal. With so much else happening across Axie, the team can focus on getting the game itself right first.
