There are also a few new in-game features going live today which we’ve recapped below. Let’s jump in!
Welcoming More Homeland Players
Last week, we shared our plans to welcome new players to Homeland: we’re making it easier than ever to onboard new players during Beta. For example, the Land Delegation Marketplace gives landowners more freedom and opportunity to connect with Stewards. Many of our current Homeland players are pioneers and early adopters – let’s welcome the next wave of players with open arms. Here’s how anyone can get started:
How Existing Landowners Can Play Homeland
It’s easy for landowners to play Homeland. Connect your Ronin Wallet to your Sky Mavis account and open the game. Then, you’re good to go! You’ll be able to play on the plots you own.
How New Players Can Play Homeland
Want to play Homeland but are still working towards your first plot? You can start playing as a Steward.
Step 1: Download Homeland on Mavis Hub.
Step 2: Go to the Land Delegation Marketplace.
Step 3: Select a contract with terms you can accept.
Step 4: Apply to become a Steward.
Step 5: If you’re accepted, start playing! If not, go back to Step 1.
Gameplay Tips
Whether it’s your first time playing Homeland or you’re coming back from a break, check out the gameplay refresher below. Build your settlement on the planet of Lunacia, fend off enemies with your Adventurers, trade with other players – and more. Here are some quick tips to help you get into the game:
Gathering
Gathering is one of the first actions you’ll be able to take in Homeland. Gather materials like wood and stone to build structures and upgrade your Altar of Atia. As you accumulate resources, you’ll need to build storage facilities like a Woody Warehouse and Pebble Pile.
Click the hammer in the bottom right-hand corner to begin placing a building. You can also press the C button on your keyboard. Check out your materials’ quality, and bring them to the Alchemy Building to transform them! Materials are also tradeable with other players.
Producing and Crafting
Once you reach Level 2, you can start producing and crafting items. Build a Forager’s Field to produce wheat, and use that wheat to later make bread in the Cuddle Kitchen! There are many combinations of items to create, which each have their own utility.
Some items are useful on their own, while others are components to even more sophisticated items. For example, bread increases an Adventurer’s HP by 100. However, sugar can only be used to make other items – like Apple Juice. Produced and crafted items are also tradeable with other players.
Passive Adventure
Passive Adventure is a PvE component of Homeland. In Passive Adventure, you can equip and feed your NPC adventurers before sending them off to battle. Earn gold for items you sell to them. Adventurers who defeat their enemies can sometimes bring back spoils of victory to you!
