Next week, the Axie Tournament Buy-In website officially goes live! And to kick this off, we’re hosting a special tournament—Axie Classic: The Throwback!
A few weeks ago, we debuted the idea of Buy-In tournaments with the S5 Buy-In Brawl. We got a ton of good feedback from that event and it showed that the community has the desire to have new tournament formats, such as buy-ins.
Today, we’re thrilled to announce that the official Tournament Buy-In website will go live on August 7, which community members can apply to use!
The website will operate on a per-application basis, so that we can help manage the schedules and ensure that each Buy-In tournament hosted gets maximum signups and love from the community.
We will be sharing more info around the buy-in website early next week so stay tuned!
Axie Classic: The Throwback
To officially kick things off, we are hosting an Axie Classic tournament with a 1 AXS Buy-In. There will be 512 slots, which puts us at a 512 AXS prize pool.
However, we do want to make things a little bit more exciting as we celebrate the Buy-In Tournament website!
With this, we are committing a 1:1 match for the AXS prize pool. This means that if 512 players join the tournament, we will be doubling the total prize pool to a whopping 1,024 AXS!
The champion will also get a fresh CyberKongz Genkai! !ooh
Tournament signups will open on August 7, at 9 AM EST / 9 PM PH and will officially start on August 12.
We will post a separate announcement for tournament signups, so mark your calendars and set your alarm clocks so you don’t miss it!
Host Your Own Buy-In Tournament
After the ‘Axie Classic: The Throwback’ tournament, we will start fielding applications from community members who want to use the Buy-In website and organize some fun tourneys.
