The Origins S10 Postseason has arrived! Congratulations to @J0N_cr for securing the top spot, and well done to the brave Lunacians who battled it out during the Final Era. We saw big names return to the arena, and it was the first season a triple Mystic team ranked 1st in the Final Era! Top 8 places were also changing down to the last minute. It was an electric end to the season!
On October 20th, we’ll crown the Season 10 Champion during the Elite 8 Tournament. After that, we’ll be heads down shipping new Origins features including Rune Upgrades, a Balancing Patch, and even two new starter axies — Shu Fen and Temujin! We’ll even leek a special Halloween game mode that should go LIVE during the S11 Preseason! Here’s what’s coming this Postseason:
The Elite 8 Tournament
There may be infinite Origins players — but there can only be one Season Champion. The Elite Tournament will take place on October 20th @ 7 PM PHT / 7 AM EST. Eight Lunacians. 3,000 AXS. One. Champion. Who will seize the crown? Fierce competition awaits. Good luck in the arena!
Tournament Format
Conquest Rules
Players must register three teams each made up of three axies.
If collectible axies are submitted then morph parts need to be also submitted along with the axie.
Teams cannot overlap by more than 9 out of 18 axie parts.
We will provide players with a tool to check team eligibility.
Each individual axie can only belong to one team.
Players may not swap axies between teams after the registration.
Morph parts for collectible axies should also not be changed once axie pools are released.
Double Elimination
Standard Double Elimination bracket.
All matches are BO5.
The player who makes it to the Grand Finals without any match losses has a twice-to-beat advantage.
We request Elite 8 players to join the Axie Tournament Discord server ASAP for further details and updates.
Collectible Axie Ticket
Good news — we’ll distribute collectible ticket rewards soon. Remember that your total reward depends on the tier of Collectible Chest you received. Collectible tickets determine your AXS distribution from the 7,000 AXS prize pool. More tickets, moar rewards.
Here’s an overview of Final Era collectible tickets rewards:
Total Reward Pool: 7,000 AXS
Total Collectible Tickets issued: 135,93,326
Value of 1 Collectible Ticket: 0.515 mAXS
Note: The Collectible Tickets are convertible to mAXS based on the value mentioned above. Players will be able to claim the respective AXS in app.axie soon.
Rune Upgrading Coming Soon
We’re excited to ship a few updates to Origins during the Postseason. First, we’ll start working on the Rune Upgrading feature we leaked a few days ago. The feature will do what it sounds like: upgrade Runes to make them more powerful in the arena. If everything goes according to plan, Rune Upgrading will be LIVE in the Season 11 Preseason, which will give our teams time to test and squash potential bugs. This new feature introduces a new type of progression in Origins, and we’ll adjust mint fees once S11 begins. Stay tuned for more info!
Meet Shu Fen and Temujin
Two new starter axies are coming to Origins! You’ve met the cute and cuddly Bing. You’ve seen the grizzly, battlescarred Xia. You’ve even played with or against sleepy ole Mit. Today, we’re introducing two spiritual axies: Shu Fen and Temujin. Shu Fen is a student of forbidden magic from the Dusk clan, while Temujin is a devout monk who once disappeared into the mountain ranges after defeating a Chimera. Here are their stories:
Shu Fen
When a living being dies, the soul departs from the body to continue its cycle of reincarnation, beginning a new life. However, Shu Fen dislikes this process; it wants to fully control reincarnation instead of leaving it to the karma of the soul. Shu Fen secretly studied forbidden magic from the Dusk clan and discovered a way to trap souls in talismans. By placing the talisman on a deceased body, the soul could be manually bound to the corpse, bypassing the natural laws of the universe. Shu Fen had only one close friend, but unfortunately, that friend lost their life, and the body was no longer intact, making it impossible to perform a resurrection using Shu Fen's dark arts. Shu Fen carries the urn with their friend's ashes on their back, while attaching the talisman that holds their friend's soul over one eye. This allows the unfortunate friend's soul to continue sensing life, seeing what Shu Fen sees. Shu Fen now carries the remnants of their friend as they embark on a journey to find a suitable body for resurrection.
Temujin
Temujin was a devout Axie monk. One day, he discovered an abandoned Atia temple hidden deep within the mountains and decided to stay there, meditating within the flames of Atia for over 20 years. One day, the temple was attacked by a Chimera, interrupting Temujin's meditation. Having spent so long within the blinding flames of Atia, Temujin lost his sight. However, he could still perceive everything around him by sensing energy, even more effectively than with normal vision. Temujin defeated the Chimera and gradually disappeared into the mountain ranges.
Final Thoughts
The first Origins season went LIVE in September of 2022 — over two years ago. Today, we wrapped up our tenth season together. Thank you to every Lunacian who has joined us on this journey. We’ve come a long way, and we’re just getting started. Let’s keep pushing.
Been there since Alpha. Now I own an origin axie, thank you Atia 🙏
