Lunacians, the moment many of us have been waiting for has arrived: in a few days, we will crown the Axie Infinity: Origins Season 7 Champion! Watch the Elite 8 battle it out on livestream this Sunday, 8AM EST and see who comes out on top. In this article, you’ll find details about what’s coming to Origins during the Offseason. Here’s what’s happening:
The Upcoming Offseason
The upcoming Offseason will be split into two parts: the Season 7 Postseason and the Season 8 Preseason. The Season 7 Postseason will feature the Elite 8 Tournament, while the Season 8 Preseason will feature a few extra surprises.
We’re finalizing Season 8 balancing patch details, so stay tuned for more details on this to be released next week. If everything goes well, we plan to push them LIVE in 2 weeks from now and make Season 8 Runes and Charms available for FREE in the Origins shop before the start of the Season. This will give players an even more comprehensive opportunity to test new balancing changes than ever before.
If everything goes according to plan, we’ll also host the S8 Pre Season Cup tournament on March 31st – with about 2,000 AXS up for grabs. This is a tentative date, so stay tuned for more details over the next few weeks!
Elite 8: Battle for the Crown
Congratulations to the Top 8 players from Origins Season 7 Final Era! We’d like to shout-out Enrico for earning the top spot, and YGG for getting three players to the Elite 8. Everyone on the list above has been invited to the Battle for the Crown on March 10th. Battle it out for the Season 7 crown – and a 1,200 AXS prize pool. This is what the tournament format will look like:

Final Thoughts
Over the past few weeks, Axie has had a few head-turning moments. Axie Champions is surging in DAU. The Homeland AXP integration has created more opportunity for part evolutions. Axie Classic Guilds are coming. Origins has a few key updates in the works too. This is the beginning of an exciting year for Lunacia. Let’s keep pushing!
just dont let this off-season be 2 months like the last one between s6-s7 - the schedule looks good on paper but lets see if you can fullfill what you promised here ;)
Ohhh
