The New Moonfall is Coming Soon!
Complete quests. Collect tickets. Claim prizes. Every. Single. Day.
Key Points:
The enhanced Moonfall is almost here! Early this year, we shared our plan to revamp Homeland’s current Moonfall system. After gathering feedback and fine-tuning to ensure a stable mechanic, we're ready to deploy the feature on June 12th if everything goes according to plan.
Here’s what’s new: the revamped Moonfall will be more a dynamic and engaging experience than ever before. Rewards are now based on in-game events and actions a player makes — like a quest system.
Soon, players will be able to complete daily Moonfall quests, collect Moonfall tickets and claim rewards the very next day. This quest system features a whooping ~400 AXS daily prize pool! Harder quests and rarer plots leads to greater rewards.
Lunacians, the new Homeland Moonfall is coming soon! On June 12th, we’re delivering on our promise of a revamped Moonfall mechanic based on your feedback. We've pushed back the launch date from the original timeline to ensure the mechanic is stable and reliable from day one. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and suggestions with us over the last couple of months. Together, we’ve built a more efficient and more fun Moonfall. Let’s dig into the details!
Introducing the New Moonfall: Quest Mechanics
The upcoming Moonfall update introduces a quest-like system to Homeland. Complete in-game actions and events to receive rewards. Keep an eye out for new quests to complete everyday! Here’s a brief overview on how the new Moonfall works:
Complete daily Moonfall quests → Win Moonfall Tickets → Claim rewards the next day (if selected)
Everyday, you'll receive 12 quests on each plot you own or on which you’re a steward. These quests and their tasks come in varying difficulty levels — and you can complete multiple quests at once! Complete as many as you can, or re-roll for new quests if you want to switch it up.
You can also re-roll or swap quests up to 5 times per day. Beyond that, you’ll need to buy more re-rolls for 10 Ancient Coins each. This keeps Homeland feeling fresh because there’s always a new opportunity to explore.
Here’s how it works:
Some Moonfall quests will require high levels of Atia’s Altar or building blueprints as we continue to reward in-game progression. These quests may be harder, but they’ll give you an increased chance to get a ticket. The harder the quest, the greater the rewards. Right now, we have quests with materials for up to level 5 Atia’s Altar, and we plan to introduce more quests for higher Atia’s Altar levels soon.
Pro tip: rarer plots will also have a better chance of receiving Moonfall tickets! The rarer the plot, the greater the rewards. Check out how plot rarity increases Moonfall tickets chances:
Complete quests and earn Moonfall tickets for entry into the Moonfall prize draw. The prize draw offers a specific amount of AXS in Ancient Coins. We’re looking at 3 tiers of prizes: Extra Special, Premium, and Common — worth 20 AXS, 5 AXS, and 1 AXS in Ancient Coins respectively.
Moonfall Tickets and Prize Distribution
Each ticket type has three prize pools available. The prize pools reset daily, which gives everyone a chance to win everyday. Here’s an example of how the Moonfall Tickets and Prize Distribution work:
Plot A completes all quests and get all three types of tickets. Plot A now has a chance to win three Moonfall prizes, each from a different category (1 x Extra Special, 1 x Premium, and 1 x Common).
This also means that each plot can only win one Extra Special Prize per day. The good news is that collecting more special tickets gives you a better chance to win the Extra Special prize of the day!
Here’s how this one works:
1x Extra Special prize worth 20 AXS
50x Premium prizes worth 5 AXS each
200x (or more) Common prizes worth 1 AXS each
The Common Prize budget is based on unearned rewards from the previous day, capped at 200 AXS per day of accumulation. Any unclaimed/remaining prizes will roll over to the Common prizes the next day. This means that it's possible to have more than 200 Common prizes available on any given day.
Note: If there are fewer tickets than prizes in the pool, all ticket holders will win. Any leftover prizes will roll over to the next day's Common prize pool.
For landowners with multiple plots, they can enjoy completing quests for each specific plot, earn tickets, and get a higher chance to win daily prizes. There's no daily limit on Moonfall prizes at the account level.
Also, when players finish a quest and don't receive a ticket, they will still get gold rewards. The gold amount will vary based on the type of plot the quest is completed on.
Here’s the breakdown of gold rewards from Moonfall:
Moonbeam Removal
Early this year, our founders outlined the path ahead for Homeland. As promised, Moonfall is getting a much-needed revamp. We also shared our vision for Moonbeam’s fate. In this upcoming release, Moonbeam will be removed from the game. We'll now allocate the existing budget for Moonbeam rewards to the new Moonfall system.
Final Thoughts
We're excited to launch this latest update to Homeland shaped by your valuable feedback. The changes we've made ensure our community-focused approach shines through. This update is a big step forward, and we know there’s more work to do together. Let's keep pushing to make Homeland the best it can be. May Atia bless our quest!
