The Axie Treasury will soon earn RON rewards! As one of Ronin’s most-active ecosystems, Axie is expected to get a waterfall of fresh RON rewards from Ronin’s new Proof of Distribution system.
Lunacians like YOU are the reason Axie gets these rewards: Starting May 12th, Ronin will reward builders based on the onchain activity they generate. That means every App.axie trade, Rune and Charm mint, and even axie breeding session will increase the rewards going to Axie Infinity!
Where are these rewards going? 100% of Axie’s RON rewards will go to the Axie Treasury for now. However, this may change in the future. Let us know if you have any ideas around the best way to use these rewards for the benefit of Lunacia.
In 2021, we launched Ronin so Axie could spread its wings. Together, Axie and Ronin went on to define an entire industry. Today, that bond is getting stronger. Axie Infinity is set to earn a lion’s share of RON rewards from Ronin’s Proof of Distribution reward system, and 100% of these rewards will go to the Axie Treasury. Here’s what’s happening:
How can Axie earn RON?
Ronin’s reward system is changing on May 12th. Instead of spraying staking rewards to a large number of users, Ronin will redirect a focused waterfall of RON to the networks’ top builders. That includes Axie.
Rewards are distributed monthly, and are based on a Builder Score that captures the past month of onchain data. NFT volume, DEX volume, gas spend, and other metrics determine how many rewards each team will get. Our internal estimates suggest Axie could earn as much as 200,000 RON per month. We’ve chosen to direct ALL of these rewards to the Axie Treasury, which means YOUR onchain actions will keep making Lunacia even stronger.
Note: In the future, we may redirect Axie’s RON rewards in other ways that benefit Lunacia. Let us know if you have any ideas. This is just the beginning.
Why this matters for Axie
Axie sits at the heart of Ronin’s onchain activity. Most of Axie’s Builder Score maps to things Lunacians already do every day: marketplace trades, Katana swaps, breeding, forging, ascensions, evolutions, Rune and Charm mints. Every wallet that holds over 10 RON and touches an Axie contract counts too.
This is what the Axie economy has always run on. The same activity that keeps Lunacia moving now earns Axie a monthly share of RON, just for showing up.

No action required yet. Sky Mavis will review Builder Score calculations every month according to builder and user feedback, while also considering how to best grow the Ronin ecosystem.
