Listening to the land, the planet’s first inhabitants marked plots based on the rhythms of the soil and stone. Then they built shrines to mark where the ground had spoken.
When Atia came, he placed eternal flames in each shrine. Upon his death, his heart became the moon, and its pulse fell into rhythm with the energy of the land. The heavens and earth united in an eternal heartbeat.
During the great war, the moon burst and its shards rained across Lunacia, pieces of Atia’s heart driven into the land. They gathered in the nodes where his essence had always run strong.
Terrariums are the fertile lands surrounding these ancient shrines, the spiritual and functional foundation of axie life.
Axies live their lives protecting these sanctuaries. Here they breed and raise their young, with bloodlines sharing the same ground for generations. A Terrarium becomes home to a lineage: elders who remember the old wars, and hatchlings born into peace. Over time, each Terrarium earns a history of its own, woven through every axie who lives, works, battles, and is laid to rest on its hallowed grounds.
A thriving Terrarium carries as many as thirty axies. Some work the shrine, feeding its flame and harvesting shards. Others train, building their strength hour by hour. When the war drums sound, these same axies are called to action.
Through all of it, one rhythm continues. Once an hour, Atia’s heart pulses in the sky, and the planet beats with it. The moonlight brightens for half a breath, the flame stirs, and the shards rise. Every Terrarium answers the same beat at the same moment, and Lunacia steps one hour on.

2 Days to Prepare Before the First bAXS
Terrariums is now live, and your plots start empty. Activating your land puts it into resting mode, where it recharges Local Lunium over about five days. Earning doesn’t begin yet, so use these two days to activate your land, bring your axies in, and set up your plots the way you want.
The First Earning Tick begins on June 19 at 07:00 UTC. From that point, your land mines every hour around the clock.
Here’s the catch: free Local Lunium can’t be spent until it fully recharges, which takes about five days. Earning starts in two. So a plot on Local Lunium alone earns nothing at the First Earning Tick. Top up Global Lunium during the 7-Day Flash Sale and your land mines from the very first tick, while Local keeps recharging in the background.
Core Mechanics: Basic Terms to Know
Here are the core terms to know before you dive in:
Tick: The hourly heartbeat of Terrariums. Every hour, your land burns Lunium, draws Atia’s Flame from your axies, and earns its share of the bAXS pool. Any changes you make to a plot take effect on the next Tick.
Lunium: The off-chain resource that powers your land and lets it earn bAXS. Comes in two types, Global and Local (more below).
Atia’s Flame: Your axie power. The rarer your axies, the more Flame they bring, and the bigger your share of the bAXS pool.
Global and Local Lunium
There are two types of Lunium:
Global Lunium is purchased Lunium. You can buy it in the in-game shop starting at $0.99 for 25,000 Lunium, with no cap on how much you hold. It works across every plot under your account.
Local Lunium is free. Each plot generates it slowly on its own, roughly five days of regen for one day of earning at full pace, and it’s capped per plot.
Top up if you want full speed, or let it tick over at its own pace.
You can also choose which Lunium to spend first:
Prioritize Global: spends Global first, then rolls into Local once it runs out.
Prioritize Local: spends Local only, then stops without touching your Global.

7-Day Flash Sale
For the first seven days of launch, every Essentials package comes with a Lunium boost of up to 50%, and the bigger the package, the bigger the bonus. Stock up while the boost lasts.
Note: Revenue from Lunium sales goes to a Sky Mavis-controlled wallet, where it’s used to strengthen the Axie economy in meaningful ways, such as buying axies.
Maximizing Your Atia’s Flame
Your Atia’s Flame decides your share of the bAXS pool, so the goal is simple: bring as much Flame onto your plots as you can. Rarer axies carry more Atia’s Flame than common ones. A normal axie brings 5, while a Mystic brings 1,000, so a handful of rare axies can outweigh a plot full of commons.
To earn from that Flame, your axies must be in Atia’s Shrine. Only axies in the Shrine generate Atia’s Flame and earn bAXS, while any axies left outside earn AXP each Tick instead. From there it comes down to slots: owned plots hold 30 axies and free plots hold 10, so fill every slot with the rarest axies you own.
Note: Axies and plots listed for sale on App.axie can’t be used in Terrariums. The reverse is also true: axies and plots locked in Terrariums can’t be listed for sale or transferred. Delist or unlock first before moving them between the two.
Pro-tip: Axies you’ve delegated can stay delegated and still work on your own Terrariums. No need to end your delegation.
How Rewards are Calculated
Each plot type shares a set bAXS prize pool, split between owners by the Atia’s Flame they bring each Tick.
For example, an Arctic plot has a monthly pool of 38,893 bAXS, paid out at 54.02 bAXS per Tick across every Arctic owner. Your share depends on how much Atia’s Flame your axies bring against the total Atia’s Flame of all actively mining plots in that category.
Here’s the formula:
In Homeland, every plot had a fixed AXS ceiling, whereas in Terrariums, your earnings move with your category depending on the total Atia’s Flame of all actively mining plots in that category and how well your plot stacks up against them.
Pro-tip: Your share depends on the total Atia’s Flame of all actively mining plots in your category. A category with less Flame can pay better, even if that plot ranks below your best. If you own different land types and many collectible axies, check which categories have low Flame first. Spreading your axies there can earn you a bigger share than placing them all on one plot. V1 works fine if you play passively, but a little planning can boost your rewards.
