Axie Land Demo Is Live!

Today we’re delighted to share a playable sneak peak into the development progress for land! This is a very very early build with limited gameplay. The demo is open to all landholders and will run for 7 days, ending on December 10th.
If you own land, you can start testing by installing the demo straight from your Mavis Hub for Windows/macOs.
Our Vision
Axie is more than a game. It’s becoming a network for you to live, work, and play in; a true digital nation. Over time, we’re always looking to add more fun, more utility, and more depth to the Axie universe and game assets. Land is a natural step on this journey that will allow you to:
Harvest resources and craft items
Battle chimera and progress through dungeons
Operate your own shops and build experiences using an SDK
Cooperate with friends on shared quests that require cooperation and coordination
The Demo
The demo’s main goals are to get some preliminary feedback, show off our progress, and test the game server’s performance.
Through the demo you’ll be able to:
Populate your land plots with your favorite Axies
Gather resources to craft tools and furniture
Place your land items on plots for decoration
Battle Chimera for resources— this is especially basic for now

Please keep in mind that this is a very early build; we’ve decided to show this to you ahead of schedule as we believe in involving our community with the development process on a level that distinguishes us from traditional games.
One of the reasons Axie has outpaced other Blockchain games is because our community gives us a steady stream of feedback while we’re building. Since land is at such an early stage of development, your voices are more important than ever! For this demo there are two primary ways to help:

If you want to go the extra mile in service of our ecosystem, we suggest downloading OBS and recording your first impression of land gameplay. This recording should be uploaded somewhere private and sent to us directly at Hello@axieinfinity.com. Please record your face if possible as this will help the land team learn more about your experience. Make sure to experiment with resolution in settings to maximize performance on your device.
Plot Design Contest
As a special quest for this demo, we’ll be holding a plot design contest and rewarding the top 50 plots submitted!
Here’s how it works:
Take your time carefully building up and arranging a plot. Synergy of aesthetics between Axies, land items, furniture as well as spacing/design will be taken into account.
A valid Discord submission. Take a screenshot of your plot and submit it in the #plot-design-contest channel in Axie Discord. Please include your in-game username, Loom address, and the plot coordinates. Once you submit your plot, please leave it unchanged in game. This means that if you only have 1 plot, you should wait until the last day to submit.
A valid submission on Twitter. Post the submission on Twitter with the hashtags $AXS and #projectk. Please also tag @axieinfinity. If you cannot post on Twitter due to some special circumstance you must note that in your Discord submission and we’ll decide if it’s plausible.
Make sure to change to max resolution (that your device will reasonably support) in settings and hide the user interface (hotkey-U) before taking the screenshot!
Each player is limited to 1 submission.
The submissions will be judged by the Axie team. The deadline to submit is December 10th at 9 PM GMT+7.
Social Features
We understand that managing and building up your land is a huge task. In addition, land ownership might not be accessible to all. These two factors lead to a natural demand for social features that allow players to enlist friends, allies, and guild-mates to help them manage their land. While this demo does not contain these features; we’d like to emphasize that we understand the necessity for these in the long run.
