This is a important step towards a world where anyone, anywhere can experience the magic of Axie on their preferred device. If you live in Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Venezuela, Indonesia, Malaysia, or Vietnam, you can now download Origins for iOS from the AppStore through the button below:
Bringing Axie to Apple
Axie Infinity: Origins is a card-based strategy game where players collect, own, and use an infinite variety of creatures called axies to battle.
In December of 2022, we launched a feature-limited version of Origins on the Malaysian Google PlayStore. This gave our team the opportunity to test and improve the game before expanding to other countries. Today, we’ve taken a similar approach with the App Store in Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Venezuela, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam! Remember, 70% of axie community members find out about axie from a friend or family member, so it’s important to the growth of our movement for axie to be as easily share-able as possible.
AppStore Gameplay
Significantly, iOS Players will be able to use their NFT axies in this release. We believe this is the first time that Apple has agreed to make an externally-purchased NFT usable on the App Store.
In addition, only Moonshard crafting recipes will be available in-app. So to use SLP crafting recipes, players will need to use the desktop/Android APK versions. We imagine that many players will enjoy the flexibility to enjoy Origins on the go, while crafting with SLP on their desktops or Android devices.
In this early iOS version of Origins, players can also use upgradeable starter axies to play both Adventure and Arena Mode. They’ll be able to promote these axies and enhance their cards using Class Badges and Honor Medals earned through gameplay. This will give new citizens of our digital nation a glimpse into the Axie universe. Let’s welcome these new players to our community with open arms… and fiercer battles!
