Season 8 Collectible Ticket Reward Distribution
During the Rare to Mystic Eras, holders of collectible axies received Collectible Chests. These chests gave out collectible tickets according to their tier. The higher the tier, the bigger the rewards. The number of collectible tickets represents the amount of AXS each holder will receive from the 7000 AXS prize pool. These rewards will be distributed soon.
Total Reward Pool: 7,000 AXS
Total Collectible Tickets issued: 10,444,625
Value of 1 Collectible Ticket: 0.67 mAXS
Note: The Collectible Tickets will be converted to mAXS based on the value mentioned above. Players will be able to claim the respective AXS in app.axie around 25th May, 10:30 AM UTC.
New Starter Axies: Bard and Machito
Get ready to meet our newest additions to the Origins Starter Axies family — Bard & Machito. Two musicians, both fierce competitors in the arena, but this is where their similarities stop.
Some might call Machito a bit of a trickster, bringing Lunacians joy with the shakes of his maracas—a mere distraction before he delivers a lethal blow. He may be a famous musician, but there’s no length Machito will not go to protect his teammates, often at the risk of his own life (and his maracas!)
Bard might seem less intense. He's a free-spirit, wandering the forests of Lunacia. He strums his instruments and sings his songs for audiences, even if they're just the surrounding trees!) but he is a menace in battle. Opponents often mistake him for soft after hearing his gentle ballads, and then before they know it, they are flat on their backs on the arena floor.
Join us as we welcome Bard and Machito to the Starter Axie family. Whether you're drawn to Machito's protective mischief or Bard's soul-soothing melodies, these new Starter Axies are ready to embark on unforgettable adventures with you.
Balancing Updates
After the conclusion of Season 8 Postseason, we will release a balancing patch at the beginning of Season 9 Preseason. This update will adjust various stats and game mechanics to maintain competitive balance and enhance gameplay. We would love to hear your thoughts on these updates. Check out the changelog below!
When S9 Preseason begins, all S8 Runes and Charms effects will be disabled. Players will need to obtain free S8.5 R/C packs from shop which will have the latest S9 effects. Additionally, S9 Preseason will feature an era-based R/C testing. At the launch of the Preseason, Rare S8.5 R/C will be available in the shop, followed by Epic and then Mystic in the succeeding days. If everything goes according to plan, S9 Preseason timeline will be as follows:
29 May: Unlock Rare S8.5 Box
1 Jun: Unlock Epic S8.5 Box
5 Jun: Unlock Mystic S8.5 Box
Offseason Collectible Leaderboard
The Offseason Collectible Leaderboard is BACK! From 03:30 AM UTC on May 29th to 03:00 AM UTC of June 12th, holders of collectible axies can compete for a 4000 AXS prize pool. To participate, enter the arena with at least one collectible axie. You’ll earn points that will help you climb the Offseason Collectible Leaderboard. It’s an opportunity to compete, earn rewards, and showcase your collection — all at the same time!
Note: You must be in the Boar rank or higher in order to start earning points.
Here’s how the point system works:
Rank Based Points
Boar : 1
Wolf : 2
Bear : 4
Tiger : 8
Dragon : 16
Challenger : 32
Collectible Axie Point Multiplier
Mystic: 3x
Origin: 1.5x
MEO/Japanese/Xmas/Shiny: 0.75x
Example
A Challenger Ranked player has 1 Mystic, 1 Origin, and 1 Xmas Axie in their team:
Challenger Rank = 32 Points
Collection Bonus = 1 + 3 + 1.5 + 0.75 = 6.25
Base = 1
Mystic = 3
Origin = 1.5
Xmas = 0.75
Total Points = 32 x 6.25 = 200
SLP Rewards Balancing
Earlier this year, we rolled out our strategy to target a 2% deflation rate for SLP. The 44B supply cap, an SLP Buyback Fund, and our monthly updates are all part of that strategy. Today, we’re also making some adjustments to Origins SLP emissions in order to reach our deflationary target.
The following adjustments will be made on SLP earnings:
During the Offseason
Boar : 0 SLP
Wolf : 2 SLP
Bear: 3 SLP
Tiger: 5 SLP
Dragon: 7 SLP
Challenger: 10 SLP
During the Regular Season
Boar : 0 SLP
Wolf : 4 SLP
Bear: 6 SLP
Tiger: 10 SLP
Dragon: 15 SLP
Challenger: 20 SLP
The Axie Ecosystem is constantly evolving, with new opportunities being added for players, such as the recent Bounty Board, as well as rewards given across multiple Axie experiences. The above changes to SLP align with our policy to ensure we keep developing our products in a sustainable way.
Final Thoughts
As we wrap up another Origins season, we're looking ahead to an exciting time in Lunacia. New Origins updates, more Homeland events, the Classic Competitive Circuit, the Axie Governance Portal, the App.Axie Bounty Board — and the list goes on. Let’s keep pushing, and see you in the arena ⚔️
now no slp farming in origin v3 and the rewards draining to classic v2. sooner single competitive player from origin v3 will be gone because of lost profits
