Crafting and Balancing Updates recap at the end of this announcement.
Origins Season 7 is here and the Rare Era is ready to welcome the fiercest Lunacians!
This era will last for two weeks, and the full season will run for 7 weeks (49 days). Epic and Mystic will run for two weeks each, while the Final era will be one week. At the end of the season, we will be hosting the Elite 8 Tournament to determine the ultimate champion of Season 7. More details around the Elite 8 will be shared soon.
We’ve made updates to the Leaderboard reward system, increased AXP emissions, added a Collectible Leaderboard, and introducing more items in the Origins shop to help with your season grind.
There’s a ton to cover, so let’s dive right in!
Hybrid Leaderboard Rewards
This season, we’re introducing a Hybrid Leaderboard reward system where both AXS and SLP tokens will be given to the top leaderboard finishers. We’re also expanding the leaderboard back to the Top 20,000—giving more Lunacians a chance to compete and earn rewards!
A total of roughly $641,000 usd (*current value) of AXS and SLP will be up for grabs this season, with 9,450 AXS and 6.8M SLP on the line for this era.
SLP will be part of the reward mix this season to help players prepare and transition smoothly from one era to the next. With the SLP burn/mint ratio at a healthy state, we can experiment with different rewards structures like this.
Moar AXP in Origins!
Starting today, the daily AXP cap per axie in Origins will be increased! The new formula is: 1,500 * your axie’s level* = Daily AXP cap in Origins.
E.g. A level 10 axie can earn up to 15,000 AXP per day in Origins.
We are also increasing AXP emissions in Arena (see photo above), which scales up the higher you move up the ranks. Even 'no stamina' matches will emit AXP until your axies hit the daily AXP cap. Players who reach the Challenger rank can win as much as 500 AXP per win with Stamina, and 250 win without stamina.
Losing matches will also give minimal AXP. However, surrendered matches must meet specified conditions in-game to get AXP. The rules are that you forfeit participation rewards if your Team's HP is > 25% or it is before Turn 10 except if you played 5 or more cards.
This condition is put in place to prevent abuse in the AXP system.
As an added bonus, you can also earn some AXP in Arcade Mode; albeit much lower compared to Rank. But for players who want to relax and enjoy a more casual experience while still getting some much needed AXP, Arcade Mode could be a good option!
Important: We may change the AXP mechanics for Origins at the end of every era. We will continue to gather feedback and data to help guide the balancing for AXP emissions in Origins.
Stacking up on AXP is faster than it ever was, but getting your best axies to max level will still take a lot of time. But what if you could gain more AXP, faster?
Introducing: AXP Booster
AXP Booster is the newest item to hit the Origins Shop! These powerful drinks can supercharge your entire axie team’s AXP gain.
The AXP Boosters come in three variants: 8 hours, 7 days, and 30 days. When activated, they give a 40% AXP gain boost.
E.g. In Challenger, you now gain 700 AXP (500 AXP w/o AXP Booster) per Stamina win.
In addition, Collectible axies gain even more AXP, clocking in an extra AXP flat bonus when AXP Boosters are activated. Each win gives an additional +50 per win, +30 for Draw, and +10 for Losses. This bonus applies to all collectible axies, from Summer to Mystic.
AXP Boosters are not the only ones getting a red carpet entrance in the Origins Shop…
Runes and Charm Boxes — Coming Soon in Origins Shop
Need to power up your axies for your leaderboard grind? Easy. Runes and Charm boxes will soon be available in the Origins Shop!
You can buy these boxes with Gems and try to hunt for the Runes and Charms you need to climb the ladder. Take note that these are mystery boxes, so you will only get random Runes/Charms.
These Runes and charm boxes will be made available in the middle of every era.
While you wait for these boxes to be available, you can purchase crafting materials like Moonshards and Ancient Moonstone in the Origins Shop which are immediately available at the start of every era, allowing you to craft your much needed powerups to enhance your axies!
Introducing: Collectible Leaderboards
This season, we’re experimenting with a Collectible Leaderboard system to reward the most dedicated and skilled collectors in Origins.
A separate leaderboard system will be dedicated just for Collectible axie holders, with a total of 4,000 AXS in prize pool for the entire season. The prizing distribution works like this:
Here’s how the new Collectible Leaderboard system works:
- Play Arena matches with collectible axie/s
- Player must have Stamina
- Players accumulate points for every win in Ranked (w/ Stamina)
- At the end of the season, the final points will be tallied to decide the placements and rewards
Points System:
By Rank
Challenger = +10
Dragon = +7
Tiger = +5
Bear = +3
Wolf = +2
Boar = +1
Ranks below Boar are not eligible to accumulate points.
Per Collectible Bonus Points
Mystic = +4
Origin = +2
Meo/Xmas/JP/Shiny = +1
Summer = No Bonus
Examples:
Challenger Win with 1 Mystic, 1 Origin, and 1 Japanese
10 + 4 + 2 + 1 = 17 points
Tiger Win with 2 Mystic, 1 Xmas
5 + 4 + 4 + 1 = 14 points
We are also working on a visual representation of this leaderboard, which will be going live soon on the Axie DAO website.
It surely is an exciting time to be an Axie Collector!
But wait… there’s more!
Summer Axies Now Eligible for Collectible Rewards
Being an Axie Collector is both a fun and rewarding experience—especially in Origins.
At the end of every era (except Final), owners of Collectible axies are eligible to win additional AXS rewards, depending on the highest tier of Collectible axie they own.
E.g. If you own a Mystic axie, you may get anywhere between 12.8 to 80 AXS if you meet the Era criteria (outlined in the photo above). Do take note that this is only an estimate and will still be contingent on the number of Collector’s Tickets in circulation.
This season, we’re introducing two new changes.
First, Summer axies are now eligible to win some AXS rewards! Summer axies can net anywhere between .035 to .2 AXS. Entry level collectors or Lunacians who are just getting into the collectibles scene now get an additional perk by being a Summer axie holder. This should encourage more players to start becoming collectors too!
Second, instead of sending the AXS outright, we will be distributing ‘Collector Tickets’ after every era. These Collector’s Tickets will then be converted to the corresponding AXS at the end of the season.
Important: Your collectible axie must be in your account at least 3 days before the end of the era to be eligible to win rewards.
Are you ready to grind and secure your Collectible rewards?
Crafting Updates
We’re introducing some changes in Crafting this season. Here are the details!
High SLP Recipes (Ronin B) have been replaced with Gem Recipes.
There are 3 new Gem Recipes in each Era:
These recipes craft Ronin (NFT) Runes & Charms
Moonshard Cost for Gem Recipes is cheaper than SLP Recipes. (Similar to old Ronin B Recipes)
Gem Recipes have improved chances for a group of selected Classes. (normal: 10% -> gem recipes: 15%)
Epic Moment: Players are guaranteed to obtain Epic R/C after crafting 20 times in Intermediate - SLP & Intermediate - Gem Recipes.
Ancient Moonstone: Ancient Moonstone (Basic) has been buffed to provide +30% chance for a Rune. Two (2) new rarities of Ancient Moonstone have been added.
You can find the detailed info about the crafting updates here.
