The Countdown to Axie Part Evolutions has Begun!
Redeem Fortune Slips in the Garuda Shrine Shop
Key Points
The Garuda Shrine Shop is officially open! You can now redeem your Fortune Slips for a chance to win prizes including Cocochoco and Premium Cocochoco from the latest collection on App.Axie – Consumables. You can also win Radiant Spirit Shells and a Mystic axie!
Consumables are power-ups for Axies. The first two we’re introducing are called Cocochoco and Premium Cocochoco! (Coco for short!) Both of these consumables will grant AXP boosts when you give them to an axie. Premium Cocochoco will grant a higher amount of AXP than regular Cocochoco.
On December 19th, Lunacians will start evolving their axie parts. This is more than a new feature on App.Axie – Part Evolutions will reshape the Axie economy while deepening the emotional bonds we have with our axies. Today, you can get a head start on Part Evolutions by releasing your axies and earning Materials. These are ERC-1155 tokens necessary to evolve axie parts. We’ll share more details on how and why you’ll want to release your axies below.
Lunacians, the countdown to Part Evolutions is upon us. Our collective destiny has led us to this moment, and axies will soon become the first digital collectibles that evolve as you play with them…if you’re prepared to make a sacrifice. Today, we’ve released a few features to help our digital nation prepare for the big day. We’ve opened the Garuda Shrine Shop, launched Consumables on App.Axie, and have given new utility to axie releasing. There are many moving parts to Parts Evolution, so make sure you understand how everything works before you can evolve your axies’ parts on December 19th. Let’s go!
The Garuda Shrine Shop is now OPEN
Fun fact: the Garuda Shrine Shop is a real place in the Sapidae town of Garuda Grove – where Project T is based! These merchant shops can be found all over Lunacia near Atia Shrines. Any guesses as to what Garuda is named for?
In November, we teased a connection between collectible axies, Fortune Slips and the Garuda Shrine Shop. Today, we’ve electrified that trifecta: redeem your Fortune Slips at the Garuda Shrine Shop for a chance to win on-chain rewards – starting NOW!
At the Garuda Shrine Shop, you can exchange 10 Fortune Slips for one Lucky Pouch or 50 Fortune Slips for one Premium Lucky Pouch – which only contain one item at a time each. For example, let’s say you redeem your Fortune Slips for a Lucky Pouch. Congratulations! You have a chance of receiving Coco or a Radiant Spirit Shell. That means you’re guaranteed to get something. Premium Lucky Pouches are the only way to get Premium Coco, a Mystic axie, and ~3x better odds of getting a Radiant Spirit Shell from the Garuda Shrine Shop – but they are also more expensive. Which pouch will you choose?
The Mystic axies hidden in the Garuda Shrine Shop are among the rarest axies in Lunacia. Here’s an example of what one of them looks like at Level 1, and what it will look like once it evolves. Look at that horn! We’re excited to see who the Garuda Shrine Shop will reward with one of these.
Want more Fortune Slips to get more pouches? You’ll need to adopt more collectible axies!
How to Treat your Axies with Coco
Coco and Premium Coco are both delicious sweets made of chocolate that axies love to eat. Premium Coco has a decadent surprise filling! They’re the first type of Consumable, which is a collection of ERC-1155 tokens that are also power-ups for axies. Coco grants a + 50 AXP boost when you give it to an axie, while Premium Coco grants a + 200 AXP boost when you give it to an axie. There are two ways to acquire these tasty treats: win them at the Garuda Shrine Shop by redeeming Fortune Slips, or buy them on the App.Axie secondary market. Here’s how to get Coco into your axies’ bellies:
Step 1: Go to your inventory on App.Axie and click “Manage Axie”
Step 2: Select “Use Consumable”
Step 3: Select Coco or Premium Coco, indicate the amount and click “Give.” You did it!
We made a daily AXP cap to prevent overstuffing axies with Coco. That means you can only earn so much AXP from feeding Coco to your axies per day. However, this AXP cap earned from Coco will increase every 10 levels.
Release Axies, Get Materials
Materials are objects found around Lunacia. They can be plants, minerals, artifacts – and more. Each axie will leave behind materials upon release, kind of like a thank you gift. Today, we’re introducing Mementos. Mementos are small statues made of varying materials depending on what axie tribe they are honoring. They represent the joy of life and serve as a reminder for axies to live each day to its fullest and always strive to reach their true potential.
Each axie tribe has their own memento, and the tribe memento must match the axie’s part in order to evolve. You’ll need varying amounts of these Mementos to evolve an axie’s parts, but there are a few things you’ll want to know before you start saying goodbye to your axies. Let’s talk about the amount and quality of materials you’ll need – and how to get them.
Starting today, you’ll receive Mementos as ERC-1155 tokens in your Ronin wallet whenever you release an axie. On December 19th, you’ll be able to use these Mementos to evolve axie parts. For example, let’s say you release an axie with six Beast parts right now. In a few minutes, you’ll see Beast Mementos in your Ronin wallet! It gets even more interesting when you release axies with parts from different classes. Release an axie with Beast, Reptile, and Bird parts to get a combination of different types of Mementos. The higher the level and breed count of the axie you release, the more materials you’re likely to receive.

Introducing Kendama: the Axie Floor Sweeper
We know that many Lunacians may want to acquire lots of materials — and fast. That’s why we built a tool called Kendama: it helps you filter axies by breed count and level, then allows you to adopt them in bulk. Sweep up to 12 axies in one transaction and save time when adopting new axies. Soon, the Kendama tool will be integrated into App.Axie. For now, use it here!
Final Thoughts
On December 19th, Lunacians will start evolving their axie parts. We’ll share more information about the process and cost of evolution when things go live. However, this is more than a new feature on App.Axie: Part Evolutions will reshape the Axie economy while deepening the emotional bonds we hwith our axies. Finally, after 5 years, axies will become dynamic NFTs – digital collectibles that evolve as you play with them.

whales love this update but hey at least it seams like a economic loop that could work - given that the part upgrades really do matter gameplaywise other than that it will just be another form to artificially push prices but only time will tell
