Lunacia, we know how much you missed Axie Classic. Those crits bring back great memories for us too. That’s why we’re bringing it back today! You’ll also find a flurry of in-game updates including AXP integrations, AXS Reward Pools, and even a Grand Tournament Game Mode with a Mystic axie as prize. There’s a lot to cover, so buckle up and let’s begin:
Introducing Cursed Parts
Cursed Coliseum is more than a name for a game mode: there are actual curses in the Coliseum! These chaotic curses will take theorycrafting, team comps, and overall strategies to the next level. Beware, be brave, and be sure to read how curses work below:
Every match, a random axie on each team will be cursed.
Players must replace 2 random parts from that cursed axie.
Players cannot change axies after the Session starts.
How to Earn AXP in Axie Classic
In July, we introduced Axie Experience Points (AXP) to Origins. This gave players the ability to earn AXP by playing Origins, and level-up their axies through a process called Ascension. This marked the first time on-chain NFTs became dynamic, which means players can improve them with time, effort, and skill. Starting today, there’s another new way to earn AXP: winning in Axie Classic!
In Axie Classic, players can earn AXP with every victory. The more you win, the more you earn, and the higher the stakes! Here’s how you can earn AXP in Classic:
Receive 1 non-stacking free ticket per day after clearing PvE Map 10. A ticket allows a player to participate in one Session.
A Session ends when a player wins 12 times or loses 3 times — whichever happens first.
Earn earn AXP by winning during a Session.
1 win = 50 AXP per axie
Max AXP per Axie = 2,400 AXP per day
Max AXP per player = 3,600 AXP per session
Bonus: the first players to get 12 wins will also receive part of an 1,875 AXS prize pool.

For the first three days only, we’ve removed the first requirement where players must clear PvE Map 10. This makes it easier to jump right into the arena! We’ve also removed Energy, which means players can play as much as they want. However, the AXP rewards are still capped.
The AXP integration in Classic opens the door to new dynamics in the ecosystem like AXP farming and piloting services. In Lunacia, there’s a lot of buzz around high-AXP axies because of its role in the upcoming Parts Evolution update. Today, you can play games like Classic, Sky Smash, and Origins to earn AXP. Moar ways to earn AXP are already on the way.

Are curses part of the tournament??
also I think the interface isn't clear in cursed mode, if I lose three games do I lose all the AXP that I have gathered? or simply I lose the opportunity of winning the axs? Thanks
