What is Axie Champions?
Axie Champions is a Match3 Puzzle game where you can play with your own axies and earn rewards. The game looks, feels, and even sounds a lot like Axie – you’ll know what we mean when you start playing. Choose a team of five champions, and then select which axies will ride with them. Earn off-chain CUBE rewards as you play, which you’ll be able to swap for AXS.
Gameplay Tip: Affinity Advantages and Team Building
In Axie Champions, choosing the right champions and axies is key to victory. That’s because every axie class has an Affinity Advantage over other classes of axies. For example, Beast, Bug, and Mech axies deal an extra 30% damage against Reptile, Plant, and Dusk axies! The opposite is also true: Reptile, Plant, and Dusk axies deal 30% less damage against Beast, Bug, and Mech axies. That’s enough to change the fate of a match. This is good news when you have the upper hand, but there’s more to Affinity Advantages than meets the eye. The secret sauce to dominating in Axie Champions comes down to team building.
Make sure your Axies and champions have matching affinities. Axies can only ride on champions that share their affinities. No matching affinities, no stat boost!
Team building is the difference between delivering multiple +30% blows to your opponent – or taking an extra 30% damage yourself. Multiple Axie Classes are grouped into three categories: Circle, Triangle, and Square. Think of these like Rock, Paper, Scissors – with a twist.
Circle > Triangle > Square > Circle
