Fresh notes from the lab bench.
Since Entry #4, Atia’s Legacy has put PvP in your hands, and Terrariums has launched and put your collection to work fueling Atia’s Flame. Both teams have moved on to the next round of experiments.
For Atia’s Legacy, that means preparing for Steam and building multiplayer PvE. For Terrariums, it means testing seasonal changes and building a way for landowners and axie owners to share a plot.
Everything below is a snapshot of work in progress. Features, designs and timing may change as testing continues, and a preview is no guarantee of release.
It’s been a few months since the last playtest, and you may have spotted a few leaks along the way. Here’s a proper look at what the team has been building.
Building for PC and Steam
We’re preparing a Steam release to reach players outside the Axie community. That means building for two groups at once: longtime Lunacians, and Steam players who have never owned an axie.
Alongside new content, we’re working on the interface, onboarding and PC performance, so new players can learn the game quickly and have reasons to come back.
Next milestone: Our Steam page, with the next playtest opening alongside it.
New Enemies and Maps
Earlier playtests covered both PvE and PvP, and each mode needs enough depth to stand on its own. For PvE, that starts with more enemies.
Here are some of the new enemies the art team has in concept for Lunacia.
Each design goes into the world for testing before we decide which ones stay.
New maps and bosses are in progress too, so encounters can test players in different ways.
Concept art and in-development designs. These are explorations, and some designs may change or never ship.
Gear Loadouts
Sitting on a pile of equipment? Want to try a new build without spending half your session reshuffling it?
Loadouts were among the most requested features from previous playtests, and they’re now in development. The current prototype saves up to five gear presets, so you can set up builds ahead of time and switch between them from one screen.
Multiplayer Gameplay
You’ve cleared dungeons solo and faced each other in the arena.
Next up: fighting on the same side.
Here’s the first footage of multiplayer PvE in Atia’s Legacy. Dungeons and boss encounters become shared challenges, with other players in the fight alongside you.
The clip shows PangoLord, a boss built for parties of 3 players👇
The footage also shows the new PC interface, built alongside these encounters for the PC release.
Development footage from an early build. The encounter, multiplayer experience, interface and visuals are all still being tested and improved.

First Terrariums Liveops Experiment
Our first limited-time Terrariums event runs through November 7. During the event, Nightmare axies and accessories contribute extra Atia’s Flame.
It’s also our first test of a rotating meta. Until now, a strong lineup has mostly meant leaning on the same familiar Flame contributors. A limited-time boost changes that math, so an axie or accessory you passed over may now earn its spot.
Could different parts, collections or body types take turns in the spotlight? That’s the question this event helps answer. The broader your collection, the more options you have each time the spotlight moves.
Once the event wraps on November 7, we’ll review the data and your feedback, then decide whether to repeat, adjust or expand the approach.
A Closer Look at Hosted Land Plots
Some Lunacians own land without enough axies to fill it. Others own axies with nowhere to put them. Hosted Land Plots connects the two.
The idea we’re exploring: a landowner opens their plot to guests, and guest axies add Atia’s Flame to it. The host earns a share of the plot’s rewards for providing the land, and guests share the rest based on how much Flame they bring.
More details will be shared later.
For landowners
Open your plot, set your host share, and choose how guests can join.
You can review each request yourself or set auto-accept rules, such as a minimum Flame contribution.
Have a friend or guildmate in mind? Create an invite code and send it to them directly.
For axie owners
Browse hosted plots, compare their terms, and apply to the one that fits your collection.
We’re also working out how costs could be shared between hosts and guests, along with the detailed participation rules.
Target window: November 12. Final mechanics will be confirmed before launch.
Back at the Bench
One idea runs through this whole entry: more ways for Lunacians to take part. Atia’s Legacy is growing for longtime Lunacians and newcomers alike, while Terrariums is giving different collections their turn and opening land to shared play.
Tell us what stood out and what you’d like a closer look at next.
See you in Entry #6, Lunacians.
