What are Moku Minis?

Moku Minis are limited-edition accessories that you can equip to your axies. There are SIX kinds of accessories with their own supply:

Axie Hangouts can now have animated backgrounds! Hangouts make it possible to display your favorite axies on App.axie. However, they’ve been static and unmoving until today. We shipped our first animated scene to bring YOUR hangout to life, but there’s a catch: You have to make the Santa’s Nice List to unlock it. Here’s what’s happening:

What is the Nice List Starfall Background?

Nice List Starfall is an exclusive and unlockable Axie Hangout background. Finish in the Top 1,000 on the weekly Axie Bounty Board during the Dec 22–28 event period to get one. This the first Axie Hangout background with its own animation! It’s a way to bring your own little corner of Lunacia to life.

How to earn the Nice List Starfall Background

Remember: To unlock the animated background, you need to get your name onto Santa’s Nice List by climbing the weekly Axie Bounty Board leaderboard during Dec 22 to Dec 28.

Step 1: Go to the Codex on App.axie.

Step 2: Log in with your account.

Step 3: Head to the Daily Bounties tab.

Step 4: Complete quests to earn points.

Step 5: Keep climbing until you secure a spot in the Top 1,000.

Note: Backgrounds will be distributed after the event concludes. Once the event ends, Nice List Starfall will no longer be obtainable. That means you only have ONE WEEK to get yours!

• AIP-004 is LIVE on App.axie! This proposal will determine whether to stake the AXS and RON in the Axie Treasury. If passed, this would secure another revenue stream for Lunacia on top of the ETH staking yield our digital nation is earning after AIP-003.

What is AIP-004?

The Axie Treasury holds about 23,000,000 AXS and 96,000 RON. At today’s prices, these tokens are worth over $23M USD. If passed, today’s proposal would put ALL of these tokens to work. AXS → Staked via App.axie and RON → Staked via the LRON staking protocol.

This proposal emerged from community discussions focused on strengthening AXS tokenomics, reducing idle supply, and expanding the Treasury’s long-term financial capacity.

If AIP-004 is passed, the Treasury will begin to accumulate AXS from the staking contract and RON from LRON. Because AXS staking emissions are capped, adding the Treasury’s ~23M AXS will reduce the APR for existing stakers. Across discussions, the shared view was that the APR impact is a reasonable trade-off in exchange for activating the Treasury and strengthening the ecosystem’s foundation. The rewards accrued to the Treasury become fuel for future initiatives, creating a compounding benefit for the Axie community as a whole.

What is AIP-003?

AIP-003 is a proposal to stake the Axie Treasury’s ETH holdings. If passed, Lunacia would begin earning staking yield from industry-leading staking protocols including Lido’s wstETH, Rocket Pool’s rETH, and Coinbase’s cbETH. That means Axie Infinity would secure an additional revenue stream, unlocking a flurry of new possibilities for our digital nation!

There’s about 2,829.43 ETH in the Treasury, and it’s worth more than $8M USD at today’s prices! At a ~2.4% APY, that represents over 67 ETH in yield per year. Here’s an overview of what that looks like:

• More than 67 ETH (or $200,000 USD) per year

• More than 5.6 ETH (or $17,000 USD) per month

• More than 0.19 ETH (or $575 USD) per day

Remember: These funds belong to the Axie Community. That means only YOU can decide how to use them. AIP-003 may make it possible to stake this ETH, and new AIPs will always be necessary to make further changes.

Voting Delegation is coming soon!

Lunacia was built on Delegation. Managers and Scholars. Homeland plot access. App.axie delegation. These features make it possible for more people to engage with every part of Lunacia. Today, we launched a delegation feature for Voting Power!

Once the AIP-003 Voting Power snapshot is complete next week, you’ll be able to delegate your Voting Power to another Lunacian. Here are a few reasons you may want to delegate Voting Power:

• You’re unavailable to vote during an AIP and want to make sure your vote is heard

• You have a lot of Voting Power and want to encourage others to participate in Governance

• You want to abstain from voting but still want to put your Voting Power to work

Voting Power Adjustments

Thank you for your feedback after AIP-002. We’re now applying a Voting Power cap of 10% per Lunacian. That means no Lunacian’s Voting Power will be worth more than 10% of the total vote. This helps reinforce the voices of Lunacians with lower Voting Power.

We’re also making the 66% supermajority requirement clearer on App.axie. That means 66% of all votes must be YES in order to pass a proposal requiring a supermajority, and this will be reflected in the App.axie UI. This ensures the proposal is well-supported by a large portion of Lunacians.

FAQ

Q: Can multiple users delegate to a single address?

A: YES. One address can cast a vote for the combined voting power of all its delegators (max 100 users).

Q: Are Voting Power Delegations permanent?

A: No, you can revoke Voting Power Delegation as long as your delegatee has not cast a vote yet. If you want to delegate Voting Power during the next AIP, you’ll need to re-enter your delegatees’ addresses.

Q: Does this change how many times I can vote?

A: No, Lunacians can only vote one time each. This applies whether you are delegating Voting Power and whether you’ve received Delegated Voting Power.

Q: How does App.axie publicly display Delegated Voting Power when a delegatee casts a vote?

A: The Delegator’s displayed Voting Power will remain the same even if another Lunacian uses it to vote as a delegatee.

Q: Can I delegate my vote to an address that doesn’t have voting power?

A: Yes.

• Q: Can I buy the Codex anytime?

  A: Yes. You can purchase it anytime during the season to unlock rewards for the levels you’ve already reached.

• Q: Are there other ways to earn Lucky Coins besides Codex levels?

  A: Lucky Coins can only be earned from Codex progression as of now. Additionally, we’re also running one social contest where you can earn some extra Lucky Coins.

• Q: What happens if accessories from the Ascendant Wellspring don’t sell out?

  A: Accessories from the Codex are exclusive to each season. Even if they don’t sell out, they will be unavailable after a season ends.

• Q: Will the Ascendant Wellspring close immediately after the season ends?

  A: No. It will remain open for 3 days after the season ends. After that, it will be closed.

• Q: How do drop rates in the Ascendant Wellspring change if some tiers sell out?

  A: Rates are recalculated as supply rans out on certain tiers. For example, if lower tiers sell out, your chances of pulling a Mystic increase. However, Mystics may also run out first because they have a lower supply!

• Q: If I join late, can I still unlock levels without doing quests?

  A: For now, no. In the future, level purchasing may be available.

• Q: Are Lucky Coins ERC20 tokens? Can they be traded?

  A: No. Lucky Coins are off-chain items and are not tradable.

• Q: Can I save my Lucky Coins for next season?

  A: No, Lucky Coins will expire at the end of every season. Make sure to use them before the Ascendant Wellspring closes (3 days after the season ends)!

• Q: How do the Slip Buffs work on delegated prayers?

  A: This depends on who has a buff. For example:

  Case 1

  If A has a buff and B prays for A, then A gets the full buff on all slips

  Case 2

  If A has a buff and B prays for A but they’ve agreed to a 50/50 split, then A gets a buff on 50% of the slips but B does not get any buff

  Case 3

  If B has a buff and B prays for A, then nobody gets any buff

  (B can get a buff by praying for him or herself)

The Great Bounty Board Transition is almost complete

Earlier this year, we began merging the Standard and Premier Bounty Boards. Today, we’re one step away from bringing both Bounty Boards under a single Daily Bounties tab on App.axie.

This week, the SBB’s 7K AXS reward pool will be paused as as our teams gather feedback and data. If all goes well, these rewards will transition to the PBB next week. At that point, all Daily Bounties would be free to access and their total reward pool would be 27K AXS.

Note: The PBB leaderboard will also continue its weekly rotation, and starting today Premier Tickets no longer have any utility.

What is Axie Quest?

Axie Quest is a community-built game that combines Match3 Puzzle and RPG elements with Axie Core integrations. Use your own axies to battle it out, collect items, train in the dojo, climb the leaderboard, and earn rewards! Your axies’ level, evolved parts, and accessories will also come to life in-game. There are three main game modes: Wild Hunt, the Arena, and the Axie Dojo.

• Wild Hunt is a PvE game mode where players explore the wilderness and fight off monsters during Match3 puzzle challenges.

• The Arena is a PvP game mode where players compete against each other in Match3 puzzle battles to earn AXP and climb leaderboards.

Axie Hangout Update

Axie Hangouts are digital meetup areas for your favorite axies on App.axie. Today, we laid the foundation for MOAR hangout backgrounds, and are even working towards making them customizable. Imagine unlocking exclusive backgrounds via achievements, or adding limited-time backgrounds to your profile! Stay tuned for more details on our next updates.

Designation Icons and border colors

We launched Designations in June alongside our most recent Axie Score update. Many Lunacians loved the feature, so we doubled-down on making it even better. There’s now a unique icon beside each Designation, and your profile border will even match the Designation you hold!

For example, Mythkeepers’ profiles will have a red border and their names will have red text, while Pioneers will have a green border and their names will have green text. This is an aesthetic update that makes it easier to spot Lunacians’ Axie Scores in seconds.

Want to see another user’s profile at a glance? Just hover over their name on ANY leaderboard on App.axie! See their name, Designation, Ronin address, Axie Score, earned badges, and more. Axie Management Mobile UI Improvements

If you want to ascend, feed, breed, release, or even delegate an axie, you’ll need to visit the “Manage Axie” page. We’ve updated this key page’s mobile UI to simplify all of these decisions and make axie management smoother than ever. Same features, better layout. Let us know what you think of the new design!

• The great Bounty Board transition has begun! Today, we’re taking the first step towards uniting the SBB and PBB under ONE bounty board. This will lay the foundation for an even more rewarding Bounty Board experience that rewards loyal Lunacians over mercenaries.

Our vision for a new Bounty Board

Today, the Standard Bounty Board (SBB) is open to anyone and features simple quests. It’s a great way for new recruits to learn the ropes in our movement. On the other hand, the Premier Bounty Board (PBB) is gated by Fortune Slips or Premier Tickets. It drives Lunacians to deepen their connection to our ecosystem via more challenging quests. What if one Bounty Board could accomplish both missions at the same time — and even introduce more unique experiences?

Think of it like a Battlepass-inspired system for the Axie ecosystem. That’s the direction we envision for the PBB. More quests, more progression, more rewards. However, this transition will take time, and we want to make sure YOUR feedback plays a part. That’s why we’re phasing in these updates — and Phase 1 began today.

What’s new in Phase 1?

The SBB and PBB will both remain LIVE for now, and we’ve removed the Captcha requirements after reviewing community feedback. We’re also shifting rewards over to the PBB. That means MORE rewards on the PBB, and FEWER rewards on the SBB. Here’s what Phase 1 looks like:

Quest Logic Update

We also updated the PBB quest logic to prevent the same parent quest from appearing in multiple slots. For example, if you roll a quest that requires releasing any beast class axie, you will not be able to roll that quest from the same tier. This reduces confusion caused by overlapping bounties, and encourages users to complete a greater diversity of quests. This update will affect the following bounties today:

✅ Answer: Yes, you can earn multiple Daruma accessories as long as you buy in multiples of five (eg. 10, 15, 20, etc) and as long as all qualifying capsules fall within the first 10,000 sold.

❓ Question: Do five axie capsules give me eligibility to verify the SBB quest, which then grants me a Daruma accesory airdrop & a chance to win mystic axie?

✅ Answer: Yes, that’s how it works. If we reach the Milestone 1, all purchasers within the first 10k capsules who have verified SBB quest completion will receive Daruma accessories based on the amount of capsules they bought.

❓ Question: Do I need to verify bounty completion every time I buy another 5 capsules? For example, I’ll verify completion after buying five capsules. Then, I buy another five. Do I have to verify again?

✅ Answer: No, you only need to verify once. You can continue buying more capsules and every additional 5 to that first five capsules will give you another Daruma accessory.

Looking for a particular axie part to evolve – or need a specific card for battle? The collection and trait offer features are for you! Make an offer for individual classes, specific collections, and even exact parts. Think of it like App.axie’s version of Ronin Market’s trait offer feature.

For example, let’s say you need a Topaz card to complete your Reptile Origins build. Just enter Topaz in the search bar and put an offer on ALL axies with Topaz parts! In just a few clicks, you’ll give every single Lunacian with a Topaz part the chance to sell you their axie. Here are a few more reasons to make a collection or trait offer:

• To get the particular Level 1 part you need for a Nightmare evolution

• To get the specific card you need for your Origins or Classic builds

• To get the axies you need for a squad in Atia’s Legacy

How to make a collection or trait offer

Step 1: Go to App.axie and connect your Ronin Wallet

Step 2: Navigate to the marketplace and click “Create offer”

Step 3: Input your offer details and toggle the “Offer by traits” button

Step 4: Select the trait or traits you’re looking for

Step 5: Click “Make offer for X axies”

Done! If you want to cancel a collection or trait offer, you’ll need to do that yourself. Go to “My offers” in your profile and cancel the individual offers as needed. Remember: lowering your wallet’s WETH balance beneath the offer amount won’t cancel offers. That’s because they’ll be reactivated as soon as your WETH balance is high enough again.

How to accept a collection or trait offer

If you’ve received a collection or trait offer, you can accept it from the collection offer tab. This is different than normal offers where you have to open each axie page to accept. Here’s how to accept a collection or trait offer:

Step 1: Navigate to the marketplace and click on the Offers tab

Step 2: Select the collection or trait offer that you’d like to accept on the list

What’s an Axie Score and why does it matter?

Lunacia is about more than Axie games: it’s a community of real people around the world. It has a multimillion $AXS Community Treasury. It’s the backdrop of a brand with iconic lore, collectibles, and more. Above all, Lunacia belongs to its people.

The question is: How do we put the people in charge?

The Axie Score is a big part of the answer. It measures community members’ contributions to our nation, and will give every Lunacian a voice with which to shape our collective destiny. Think of it like this: Higher Axie Score → More ownership → Larger influence in Lunacia’s future. Today, the Axie Score committee gave the green light to release updated formulas to calculate YOUR Axie Score. Here’s where it comes from:

Where does my Axie Score come from?

Your Axie Score comes from the points you earn in four contribution categories: axie NFT holdings, treasury contributions, community contributions, and in-game performance. You can learn more about them here.

These calculations continue to be a work in progress, and will continue to improve over time! For example, today’s release builds upon and re-adjusts last year’s. The idea is to create new use cases, test them, and refine the Axie Score over time.

The Axie Score committee — made up of select community Contributors and representatives of Sky Mavis — designed these formulas and will continue to improve them with your input. Sky Mavis engineers only play a supporting role by shipping them to App.axie. That means these calculations are for Lunacians, by Lunacians.

What can I do with my Axie Score?

This is what keeps the Axie Score committee up at night. Today, your Axie Score determines your Voting Power during the governance process — and that’s about the only thing it can do. However, here are some possible benefits in discussion:

• Early access to new games and features

• Modifiers for AXS staking rewards

• Exclusive in-game buffs or rewards

FOUR new badges are coming!

Lunacian badges are essential to Axie Scores. They shine a spotlight on meaningful contributions – and recognize everyone who achieved them. For example, you must have voted in AIP-0001 to get the new First Voter Badge. Once you earn the badge, its points get added to your Axie Score.

We introduced Lunacian Badges in 2023, and the first Axie Score release came out in 2024. As a result, many of these early badges had to play catch up. For example, the first badges had fixed values that were hard to fit into later years’ Axie Score formulas. Good news: Today’s release fixes this.

Badges are now compatible with the four Axie Score pillars. The Axie Score Committee is also responsible for 100% of badge points and calculations! Sky Mavis can design and produce badges, but only Lunacian Contributors can determine their value to Axie Scores.

Introducing New Axie Score Designations

Each Axie Score tells a story of a Lunacian’s commitment to our movement. That’s why we’ve assigned designations to various Axie Score brackets. For example, everyone with an Axie Score of 1 or higher will receive the “Lunacian” designation. However, only a few will be deemed Mythseekers!

These designations are a fun way to express how much a community member has contributed as a percentage of our entire nation. They also lay a foundation for more possible features down the line.

Q: I disagree with the formula or weighting of the Axie Scores. How can I change them in the next version?

A: Join the Contributor’s Program and get involved with our committees!

Q: If axie NFT holdings count towards an Axie Score, couldn’t a whale just “buy their way in” to a high Axie Score and influence Lunacia’s destiny?

Ownership of axie assets is a legitimate sign of commitment to our digital nation. However, it’s not the only one. Even if someone maxed out their points in the Axie NFT Holdings category, they would only have 40M out of 100M possible points. In this way, the category weightings prevent one particular Lunacian archetype to exercise outsized influence over others.

Q: How does the Axie Score relate to the Axie Treasury?

The Axie Treasury belongs to Lunacians. It does not belong to Sky Mavis or the Axie Infinity brand! However, there is currently no mechanism for community members to make use of these funds. The Axie Score provides a starting framework to identify committed community members who are most likely to have our digital nation’s best interests in mind. In theory, Lunacians with higher Axie Scores will be able to influence treasury spending more than Lunacians with lower Axie Scores.

Wondering what it takes to get a Bloodmaw, Eyewyrm, and Nightbloom airdrop? The chart above has the answers. Here are the minimum requirements to get at least one of each Nightmare accessory:

• To get a Bloodmaw accessory, evolve at least two normal parts.

• To get an Eyewyrm accessory, evolve at least 10 normal parts or 1 rare part.

• To get a Nightbloom accessory, evolve at least 50 normal parts or 11 rare parts. You’ll also receive 1 Nightbloom for every body and Shiny part you evolved into a Nightmare part or body.

You’ll receive your Nightmare accessories about one month after the June 5th snapshot. Stay tuned for more details!

IMPORTANT: Any evolutions completed after June 5th will not count towards qualification. For example, if you start an evolution on June 4th but it finishes on June 6th, it will not count for this airdrop.

We’re increasing the number of available Premier Bounty Board quests from five to six. That’s an extra SEVEN quests per week! We’re also making sure that each week features three App.axie quests and three randomized quests — mixed between App.axie and Axie games. This ensures more opportunities to explore App.axie, Axie Core, and Axie games.

Rarity Ratio update increases chance of intermediate rolls

Your first five rolls now have better odds of granting you a higher-earning bounty. Basic rarity went from 60% —> 35% while Intermediate rarity doubled from 25% —> 50%. That means you have FEWER chances of getting basic bounties, and MORE chances of getting intermediate bounties.

Earn extra points with new Daily Milestone Rewards

Lunacians who complete more quests will soon earn even more rewards. The Milestone Reward system grants extra points as you complete larger numbers of quests. Here’s what that looks like:

• Daily Milestone 1: Complete up to 4 quests —> Get 50 extra points

• Daily Milestone 2: Complete up to 5 quests —> Get 150 extra points

Juggling Rule Removal

We’ve removed the juggling rule from the Premier Bounty Board! That means players now can help other players complete specific quests like ascending, evolving, breeding. This makes it easier for more Lunacians to complete more quests. For example, if a quest requires a Nightmare axie but you don’t have one, you can ask a friend to help you out.

The original purpose of the juggling rule was to prevent players from exploiting transfers to complete quests across multiple accounts. However, Ascension, Evolution, and Breeding appear to have limited risk of exploitation due to their cost. We’ll also revise a few other quests that may become vulnerable to abuse after the juggling rule ends.

Captcha for bot prevention on the Standard Bounty Board

Last but not least, we set up a new Captcha to prevent bad actors from taking advantage of the Standard Bounty Boards. If you’re a real user, you have nothing to worry about — just complete the Captcha when you see it pop up.

How to earn $AXS in the Nightmare Nexus challenge

Take home juicy rewards by sharing a photo of your axie in the Nightmarescape on socials. There’s over 1,000 $AXS up for grabs, and only two-hundred Lunacians will be able to win. Follow these steps to enter:

Q: Does buying a Nightmare axie count?

A: No, the only way to qualify is by evolving at least two Level 1 parts into Nightmare parts. 

Q: What happens if an axie owner begins a slow evolution, but transfers or sells the evolving axie to another address before the evolution is complete? Who would be eligible for the airdrop?

A: In this case, the evolution would count towards the original owner’s eligibility for the airdrop.

Q: Does the evolution to a Nightmare part have to be successful to be considered for the airdrop?

A: Yes, only successful Nightmare evolutions will be counted towards the airdrop qualification. If you evolve Nightmare-eligible parts but did not get Nightmare parts, this evolution will not count towards the airdrop qualification.

Q: Will I be eligible for Airdrop 2 if I evolved my axie during the Wings of Nightmare event before this announcement?

We’ll share more qualification details this week. However, here’s what we can reveal right now: you’ll need to evolve at least two Level 1 parts into Nightmare parts to qualify! Wondering how to evolve? Follow these steps:

Step 1: Make sure your axie has at least one of the twenty-four base parts eligible for a Nightmare Evolution.

Step 2: Gather the required Evolution materials.

Note: This includes Mementos for the Evolution, and AXS for the Evolution Fee. There are no additional materials required for a Nightmare Part Evolution. Learn more about part evolution here.

Step 3: Go to App.axie and click “Evolve.”

Step 4: Choose “Instant Evolution” to see your parts right away, or wait for the normal evolution to complete in 96 hours!

What are the Wings of Nightmare?

The Wings of Nightmare was more than a limited-time part evolution event: they introduced a brand new axie collection to App.axie – the Nightmare collection. The event kicked off in November of last year, and has been ongoing ever since. Beyond eligibility for Airdrop 2, here are a few benefits you can receive by evolving a Nightmare part over the next two weeks:

• No more back-and-forth reminders between Managers and Scholars to level up axies! When delegating an axie, you can now enable scholar access to ascend the delegated axie seamlessly.

• Metamorph Delegation is here! Scholars can now use this feature while playing with collectible axies in Origins.

• AXP progression is now visible on the axie details page, giving scholars clear insights into their progress.

In this App.Axie update, a new feature for delegating Axie Ascension and Origins Metamorph is now available—bringing improvements and unlocking new potential for more axies to be utilized in-game. Over 235K axies are being delegated today, and who knows where this new feature will take us next!

Enabling Delegation Permissions for Axie Ascension / Origins Metamorph

In addition to earning Fortune Slips, managers can now toggle the delegation settings for Axie Ascension and Origins Metamorph. Any fees associated with these actions will be covered by the scholar. Once delegated, scholars can also bulk ascend these axies along with their owned axies.

Note: Existing delegations must be revoked before enabling Axie Ascension. However, managers can toggle the Metamorph feature in the Delegation Centre without revoking the delegation.

AXP Progression Details

Other than just delegation permission, Scholar can now see the AXP progression of their delegated axies on the Axie details page.

Q: As a scholar, if I ascend a delegated axie and have an ascension quest, who gets the quest completion?

A: The scholar will complete the PBB quest, not the owner.

Q: As a manager, can I still ascend the delegated axie?

A: Yes.

Q: Can scholars bulk ascend Axies?

A: Yes, scholars can bulk ascend delegated axies along with their owned axies.

Q: Does this update introduce a new juggling rule?

A: No new juggling rule has been applied. If you have a quest for ascending an axie, you can still request others to delegate an axie to you and complete the quest.

Q: Can Metamorph permissions be changed without revoking the delegation?

A: Yes, Metamorph permissions can be toggled anytime in the Delegation Center without needing to re-delegate.

Q: What happened with the Metamorph state when the delegation ended or revoked?

A: If scholars morphed the axie parts, once the delegation ended/revoked, the morphed parts will remain.

Q: Are there any limitations when using Origins Metamorph with delegation?

A: Yes. If you delegate an axie from the same account but a different wallet address (e.g., Seedphrase to Keyless or Keyless to Seedphrase), you must disable the “Allow Metamorph” option. Otherwise, you won’t be able to use the Metamorph feature.
