The arena runs from August 12th through September 2nd at 00:00 UTC. Climb the Guild Leaderboard, hit Guild Milestones, and stack your bAXS. Mini Tournaments kick off September 13th and run through September 10th, each day featuring a 500 bAXS prize pool. Here’s the full reward breakdown:

Classic Champions Invitational Update

Congratulations to Chan, our Season 15 Champion! Winning the season earns a Champions Invitational slot, but as a former Champion, Chan is already qualified, and so is our S15 Arena Leaderboard #1, JL. The slot passes down to Eshaz, the S15 Championship runner-up.

Two more players from Season 16 will earn their spot in the Champions Invitational and a shot at the 5,000 bAXS prize pool.

Looking Beyond Season 16

We also want to share an important update about Classic’s future.

After Season 16 and its Mini Tournaments wrap, we’ll be pausing regular competitive seasons and active development for Axie Classic. Classic quests will also be removed from the Bounty Board when everything wraps on September 10.

But this isn’t the end of Classic’s story.

We’re working toward handing Classic’s continued development and direction over to the community. The details aren’t settled yet, so Season 16 will be the final competitive season under the current structure. When the time comes, we’ll help get the handover off the ground, and from there, where Classic goes next is yours to shape.

Classic has been a big part of Axie’s history, and we’re grateful to everyone who returned, competed, hosted tournaments, and kept the game and its community alive.

Multi-Collectible Parts & Axie Evolution Benefits

Collectible axies with multiple evolved collectible parts are about to burn brighter.

We’ve been thinking about two things as we continue expanding Axie Core utility inside Terrariums:

How do we give more value to axies carrying multiple collectible parts?

And at the same time, how do we better reward Lunacians who go the extra mile and evolve those parts?

With V1.2, we’re bringing both together. We’ve increased the base Atia’s Flame provided by collectible evolved parts and significantly increased the multiplier for evolving multiple parts on the same axie.

The biggest change comes from the Evolved Part Count Multiplier, which now scales up to 2.8× for six evolved parts. That means concentrating your evolutions on a collectible axie can now have a much larger impact on its Atia’s Flame.

The more collectible parts you own and evolve on the same axie, the stronger that axie can become inside Terrariums.

💡 Pro-tip: Concentrating evolutions on the same collectible axie can unlock increasingly powerful multipliers. Six evolved parts now reach a massive 2.8× multiplier.

Introducing Terrariums Estates

Your Land is stronger together.

Until now, every Land plot in Terrariums has largely stood on its own.

V1.2 introduces Estates: groups of connected Land plots that work together to unlock an additional Atia’s Flame boost.

An Estate is formed when your Land plots meet three conditions:

• They belong to the same Land Environment

• They are activated under the same Terrariums account

• They are directly adjacent to one another horizontally or vertically (diagonals don’t count)

The more plots you connect, the larger your potential Estate Boost.

But there’s one important detail. Which plot gets the boost?

The Estate Boost applies to one plot within your Estate at a time. But you don’t select it manually. Terrariums automatically applies it to whichever plot within the Estate currently has the highest Atia’s Flame.

Think of it as your Estate channeling its power into its strongest Terrarium.

Want another plot to receive the boost? Raise that plot’s Atia’s Flame until it becomes the highest within the Estate. Once it takes the top spot, the Estate Boost will move over on the next tick.

This means you still control where your Estate’s power goes, just by how you build and optimize your plots.

How to Get Started

Step 1: Go to pindropgame.com and start playing. Sign up to save your progress and pins.

Step 2: Pick a mode. Classic = 30 turns (strategy). Frenzy = 1 minute (speed). Both reward the same capsules.

Step 3: Match 3 or more pins to score. Bigger matches and combos earn more capsules.

Step 4: Open capsules. Each reveals a pin. During the event, capsules can drop limited-edition Axie pins.

Step 5: Fill the rarities, complete the set, and chase the Grail.

How It Works

Pin Drop is a match-3 game with one goal: score high enough to win capsules, then rip them open for pins.

The loop is simple:

Match pins → win capsules → rip capsules → collect Axie pins → climb the boards.

The basics

• The board has 6 pin types on an 8x8 grid, with 30 turns to score as high as you can.

• Tap a pin, then tap one next to it to swap them.

• Match 3 or more of the same pin in a row or column to clear them and score.

• Cleared pins drop in fresh from above. Land another match and you get a cascade, boosting your multiplier for the rest of the turn.

Power moves

• Bomb (match 4): Blows up a 3x3 area around it.

• Laser Party (match 5): Wipes the full row and column.

• Cosmic Blast (match 6+): Clears every tile of that pin type from the whole board.

A few more moves worth knowing:

• Cosmic tier upgrade: Matching Cosmic pins upgrades the tile they spawn by one level, so a Cosmic match-4 spawns a Laser Party, and a match-5 spawns a Cosmic Blast.

• Chain reactions: Tap a special tile to set it off. If its blast hits another special tile, they chain for massive clears.

• Cascades: Each extra match from a single swap adds +100% to your score.

• Shape bonuses: L shapes score 1.5x, T shapes 2.5x, and Crosses 4x. T and Cross shapes also grant +1 Pin Capsule.

How to earn Pin Capsules

• Score 15K+ in a game to win 1 Capsule, 35K+ for 2, and 75K+ for 3.

• T and Cross shapes also grant +1 bonus capsule.

• You can earn capsules during your first 10 games each day, plus the Daily Challenge.

• Referrals earn you bonus capsules.

• Duplicate GVC pins can be rerolled for fresh capsules.

Note: only capsules won or rerolled during the event drop Axie pins. Capsules earned before the event will not drop Axie pins.

Pro tip: Hunt for Legendary and Cosmic pins first, since they multiply everything, and set up cascades with high-tier pins to blast past 15K.

Nine Axies and a Grail

The Axie set is nine pins across three rarities, plus the ultra-rare Kotaro Grail. The rarer the pin, the more each one scores toward the Points leaderboard:

• Grail (25 pts): Kotaro

• Mystic (10 pts each): Bubba, Olek, Puffy

• Epic (4 pts each): Momo, Mit, Venoki

• Rare (2 pts each): Ena, Tripp, Pomodoro

Complete all nine for +25 bonus points.

The Grail is the hardest pull in the event, capsule-only, and it has a leaderboard all its own.

Four Ways to Win

The event runs four leaderboards, each updating live as you play, with no cap on Points.

• Points: Your total from every pin collected, with rarer pins worth more. Top 3,000 win.

• Full Set Race: First to complete all nine, ranked by finish time. Top 500 win.

• Grail Chase: Ranked by how many Grail pins you pull. Top 150 win.

• GVC Holders: A Points ranking for verified GVC NFT holders only. Connect a GVC wallet, delegate wallets welcome. Top 100 win.

Note: This is a time-based event. The Full Set Race is ranked by time to completion, so the fastest to find all nine win. Everywhere else, speed is the first tiebreaker: reach any mark first and you’ll rank higher.

Atia’s Flame is the heart of each Terrarium. Every axie brings its life to the flame: birthright, accompaniments, evolved parts, devotion, and tended ground. The more an axie offers, the higher the flame climbs. The higher the flame, the more shards rise from the ground.

Birthright comes first. Every axie carries a measure of Atia’s Flame. Bloodlines vary in depth, and the strongest lines burn brightest from hatching.

Accompaniments come next. Some sit quiet: an idol, a talisman, a token of fortune. Some live, like a pot golem woken in Atia’s Flame, a spirit that stays at an axie’s side through the seasons.

Evolved parts stir the flame as well. An axie that has shed its hatchling shape draws more than any other, for its evolved parts were won in Atia’s own flame.

Devotion too, moves the flame. Those who give their days to the shrine, who tend it and pray before it, learn to call the fire higher than it would climb alone. Such mastery holds for a season, then needs renewal, for the flame answers only those who return to it.

Aesthetic excellence powers the flame, in ways that are still being understood. What is known: crystals, blooms, and adornments grace each plot, and every land bears its own. The Forest differs from the Arctic; the Arctic differs from the Savannah. A tended plot draws a richer answer from the flame, for the land rewards those who tend it.

Lately, the flames burn brighter and higher than in seasons past. Strength has been gathering across Lunacia. Plot by plot, beyond what quiet years would call for.

The might of the axies has awakened.

V1 gave your land one job: mine bAXS every hour, powered by the axies you sent to the shrine. Rarity decided everything. The accessories in your inventory, the items you collected, the slips you prayed for: none of it reached the flame.

That changes now. Accessories, land items, and Fortune Slips all feed your plot’s Atia’s Flame, joining the evolved parts that went live July 15.

Here’s how to put them to work.

The New Formula

V1.1 adds three new inputs to your Flame, on top of the evolved parts already live:

• Each axie carries Flame. Rarity sets its base, the way it did in V1. Evolved parts and accessories now add on top.

• Your plot totals that Flame. Add up every axie working the shrine. Land items and Fortune Slips then multiply the total, so they lift every axie on the plot at once.

• The pool splits by share. Every hour, each land category pays out a fixed pool of bAXS, divided between plots by how much Flame each one brings. Bring 5% of the Flame in your category, take 5% of the pool.

That’s the whole system. Raise your Flame, raise your share, raise your payout.

Accessories

Equip up to 5 accessories per axie, and each one adds Atia’s Flame directly. The boost scales with the accessory’s rarity and your axie’s collection. A Mystic axie with a Mystic accessory adds 9 Flame. A Normal axie with a Common accessory adds 0.1.

Accessories work in both modes. While your axie mines in the Shrine, they raise its Atia’s Flame. While it rests, they raise its AXP by rarity.

You can now equip accessories to your axies inside Terrariums, without leaving the game.

Go through your inventory before the next tick. Every accessory sitting idle is Flame your plot could be earning.

Land Items

Land items were decoration for years. Today they earn.

Place up to 8 land items on your plot. Each one raises your plot’s Flame by rarity:

• Common: 0.05%

• Rare: 0.10%

• Epic: 0.75%

• Mystic: 1.5%

Land items lift your AXP too, climbing from 1% at Common to 4% at Mystic.

Environment decides how far each boost climbs. Match an item to your plot and a multiplier applies:

• Savannah, Forest, Arctic: ×1.2 on matching items

• Mystic: ×1.5 on matching items

• Genesis: ×1.2 on every item you place

• Luna’s Landing: ×1.5 on every item you place

Genesis and Luna’s Landing owners get the multiplier on everything, whatever environment the item came from. Everyone else earns it by matching, and items that clash still count at their base boost. Here’s the formula:

% Land Item Boost = ( Total % Boost of Matching Environment Items × Environment Multiplier ) + Total % Boost of Remaining Items

Take a Forest plot with six items placed:

• Matching (Forest): Common 0.05%, Rare 0.1%, Mystic 1.5%

• Non-matching: Savannah Rare 0.1%, Savannah Epic 0.75%, Arctic Epic 0.75%

The three Forest items total 1.65% and trigger the ×1.2 multiplier, which brings them to 1.98%. The other three add their base 1.6%. Together the plot earns a 3.58% Land Item Boost, applied to the Flame of every axie working the shrine.

Note: once a land item is placed and locked, it can’t be listed or traded until you unlock it again.

A Bigger Canvas

The map is larger now, with space to spread your items out and decide how your plot actually looks. Scroll left and right to take it in, and to find where your axies are hanging out or hiding.

With the extra room in place, this sets up for a future update that could let you move around the buildings and objects that sit locked on your land today.

Fortune Slips

Spend Fortune Slips to activate a buff that adds 10% Atia’s Flame to your plot.

Each buff runs 24 hours. Buy as many at once as you like, and every purchase adds another 24 hours to the timer. The buff runs by itself until the timer ends, so you can buy several days at once and leave your plot alone without a daily check-in.

The buff starts the instant you activate it, not on the next tick, and runs 24 hours from that moment. If you activate at 1:30PM, it expires at 1:30PM the next day, so the final 1–2PM tick falls outside the window and misses the bonus. Activate just after a tick to capture the most full ticks.

Note: the 10% doesn’t stack, so extra purchases extend the time rather than the strength.

Buffs apply per plot, and the cost scales with your land type:

• Savannah: 3 slips

• Forest: 8 slips

• Arctic: 22 slips

• Mystic: 48 slips

• Genesis: 960 slips

• Luna’s Landing: 2,880 slips

Play Your Collection Right

Terrariums rewards placement. The same collection earns differently depending on which axie carries your evolves, which plot holds your rarest items, and which category your axies mine in. Four decisions worth making:

• Evolves. Concentrate them on one axie. Five parts hit the ×1.45 multiplier and stack their Flame, while one part each across five axies stays at ×1.0.

• Land items. They multiply your plot’s total Flame rather than adding to one axie, so they pay hardest where your rarest axies work. Put your Mystic items on that plot.

• Fortune Slips. The buff is a flat 10% on any plot, so a Savannah costs 3 slips for the same lift Luna’s Landing charges 2,880 for.

• Plot Categories. Your share depends on the total Flame of every mining plot in your category. A quieter category can pay better, even from a lesser plot. Check which categories have low total Flame before you place.

Lunacia Woke Up Before We Shipped

We announced V1.1 on July 1. Lunacians started building for it that week, before a single benefit went live:

• 2,249 axies bred, up 49% week over week

• 1,864 part evolutions started, up 40%

• 4,862 ascension events, up 21%

• 134 Mystic ascensions, twelve times the week before

Then came July 14, the day before evolved parts went live. In 24 hours, finished evolutions climbed 92.8%, evolutions started climbed 58.5%, and Mystic ascensions ran 29 times their usual rate.

The wider market followed. Over the past 30 days, Axie ranked first among all gaming NFT collections by volume on OpenSea at 191.8 ETH, with Axie Land second at 92.7 ETH and Axie Consumable Item sixth.

It’s always been Axie.

What’s Next

Evolved Part Benefits are live in Terrariums. Every part you have evolved raises your axie’s Atia’s Flame, and a higher Flame means a bigger cut of the bAXS pool each tick.

Here’s how it works.

How Evolved Parts Raise Your Flame

Your Evolved Part Boost comes from two things: how rare each evolved part is, and how many parts you have evolved on that axie.

Each evolved part adds a Flame value set by your axie’s collection and the part’s collection. Rarer pairings hit harder. A Shiny axie with an evolved Shiny part adds 10 Flame, the same axie with an evolved Japanese part adds 8, and with a normal part adds 4.

The More You Evolve, the Higher the Multiplier

Evolving several parts on one axie compounds the reward. Once you total the Flame from every evolved part, a multiplier scales it based on how many you evolved:

• 1 part: ×1.0

• 2 parts: ×1.1

• 3 parts: ×1.2

• 4 parts: ×1.3

• 5 parts: ×1.45

• 6 parts: ×1.68

Note: the rarer your axie, the more each evolved part is worth on it. That’s why the same part gives different Flame in the two examples below.

Here’s a full example. Take a Mystic axie with:

• 1 evolved Shiny part: 20 Flame

• 2 evolved Nightmare parts: 14 each, so 28 Flame

• 1 evolved normal part: 6 Flame

That’s 54 Flame across 4 evolved parts. Apply the 4-part multiplier (×1.3), and the axie’s Evolved Part Boost comes to 70.2.

Now take a Christmas axie with:

• 1 evolved Xmas part: 10 Flame

• 1 evolved Shiny part: 10 Flame

• 2 evolved Nightmare parts: 8 each, so 16 Flame

• 1 evolved Normal part: 4 Flame

That’s 40 Flame across 5 evolved parts. Apply the 5-part multiplier (×1.45), and the axie’s Evolved Part Boost comes to 58.

Pro-tip: Concentrate your evolves on one axie. Five parts hit the ×1.45 multiplier and stack their Flame, while one part each across five stays at ×1.0.

Note: evolving raises your Atia’s Flame, but your AXP earnings remains the same.

Evolved Collectible Parts Earn More Fortune Slips

Collectible parts have always generated Fortune Slips for the axies that carry them. Evolving those parts increases the slips that axie earns.

So a single evolution pays you twice. Your Flame climbs, and your slips climb with it.

How to Evolve Your Axie

Evolving takes three steps:

• Earn AXP to level up your axie from playing Axie games, feeding Cocochoco, or resting your axies in Terrariums.

• Ascend your axie at Lv. 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50

• Spend Mementos and AXS or bAXS to evolve the part you choose

bAXS Rewards

bAXS (Bonded AXS) is a non-transferable utility token backed 1:1 by AXS. It can be used for breeding, ascending, evolving, and staking, but cannot be transferred between accounts. This keeps value circulating within the Axie ecosystem and rewards players who are here for the long run.

Converting bAXS to AXS requires a Treasury fee scaled to your Axie Score. Mythkeepers and other high-reputation players enjoy significantly lower fees, rewarding long-term dedication over short-term farming.

In S18, the Top 2,000 players will share an 80K bAXS prize pool. The Rare Era alone features 20K bAXS in rewards, alongside additional bonus incentives.

Competitive Integrity Checks

Keeping Origins fair is a top priority. Era rewards will be held until each check is complete so legitimate players can trust that the leaderboard reflects real competition, not just at season’s end but throughout.

Multi-accounting and leaderboard manipulation will result in a permanent ban from Axie Origins. No exceptions.

Reminder: Collectible Chest Rewards

The Collectible Chest pool returns with 10,000 bAXS up for grabs and like season rewards, Collectible Chest payouts will be in bAXS.

The rules are the same: finish the Rare Era at Tiger rank or higher while holding your Collectible Axie for the entire era to earn Collectible Chests. Open them for Tickets, then redeem those Tickets for your share of the bAXS pool.

Enter Terrariums

Two weeks ago, we shipped the first iteration of Terrariums. As a first draft, it hit many of the major notes we were aiming for. Rare axie collections got a new headline use case. A majority of land has been locked up in the terrarium system. Land and axie volume has soared.

We want Terrariums to be a sandbox for giving use cases to the Axie Core mechanics and NFTs that have been overlooked the Axie ecosystem.

So with version 1.1, we’ll be introducing features that leverage accessories, evolved parts, Land items, and Fortune Slips to bestow greater Atia’s Flame to your Land Plots.

Let’s dig into the details below:

The First Week by the Numbers

V1 shipped with a single mechanic: your land mines bAXS every hour. In its first week, Terrariums moved real volume, with activity rising across the Axie ecosystem:

• ~3.32B Lunium sold in the first week

• $95,753 in Lunium revenue

• 52.78% of all 16,886 land plots activated and locked

• Collectible floors climbed across every type since the launch date reveal

• $520,551 in collectible volume, $193,316 in land volume

We gave land a real reason to hold axies, and demand for both followed. Now your plots and axies work as one, earning every hour, active or idle.

We laid the foundation in V1. Now we build on it.

New Reward Formulas

In V1, your share came down to the Atia’s Flame your axies bring against everyone else mining in your land category. V1.1 keeps that core and adds new ways to raise your Flame at three levels: the axie, the plot, and a temporary buff.

It starts with each axie. An axie’s power now grows with the evolved parts and accessories it carries:

Individual Axies' Flame = Base Atia’s Flame + Evolved Part Boost + Accessory Boost

Add up the Flame of every working axie on your plot, then apply your plot-level bonuses:

Your Plot's Flame = Round down [ Total of ALL Individual Working Axies’ Flame x ( 1 + % Land Item Boost ) x ( 1 + Fortune Slips Buff )

Each tick (one hourly payout), your shared comes from how your plot’s Flame stacks up against everyone else in your land category:

bAXS per tick = Your Plot's Flame ÷ Total Flame of all mining plots in your category × Total bAXS pool for that category

In V1.1, four new inputs feed that formula. Evolved parts and accessories raise each axie, land items lift your whole plot, and Fortune Slips add a temporary buff on top. Here’s how each one works.

Evolved Parts

Evolving an axie raises its Atia’s Flame, and the boost scales with how rare the evolved part is and how many parts you evolve.

Each evolved part adds a Flame value set by your axie’s collection and the part’s collection. Rarer pairings hit harder. For example, a Shiny axie with an evolved Shiny part adds 10 Flame, the same axie with an evolved Japanese part adds 8, and with a normal part adds 4.

The more parts you evolve on a single axie, the higher the multiplier:

• 1 part: ×1.0

• 2 parts: ×1.1

• 3 parts: ×1.2

• 4 parts: ×1.3

• 5 parts: ×1.45

• 6 parts: ×1.68

Note: the rarer your axie, the more each evolved part is worth on it. That’s why the same part gives different Flame in the two examples below.

Here’s a full example. Take a Mystic axie with:

• 1 evolved Shiny part: 20 Flame

• 2 evolved Nightmare parts: 14 each, so 28 Flame

If you want to evolve your axie, here’s how:

• Earn AXP by playing Axie games, feeding Cocochoco, or resting your axies in Terrariums

• Ascend your axie at Lv. 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50

• Spend Mementos and AXS or bAXS to evolve the part you choose

Pro-tip: Concentrate your evolves on one axie. Five parts hit the ×1.45 multiplier and stack their Flame, while one part each across five stays at ×1.0.

If everything goes according to plan, evolved part utility arrives in the next few weeks, separately from the rest of V1.1.

Accessories

You can equip up to 5 accessories per axie. Each one adds Atia’s Flame directly, scaled to the accessory’s rarity and your axie’s collection.

The rarer the axie and accessory, the bigger the boost. A Mystic axie with a Mystic accessory adds 9 Flame, while a Normal axie with a Common accessory adds 0.1.

Accessories help in both modes. While your axie mines in the Shrine, they boost its Atia’s Flame. While it rests, they boost its AXP by rarity.

Land Items

For a long time, land items were decoration and nothing more. In V1.1, they finally have functionality on your land, boosting both your Atia’s Flame and AXP earning potential.

You can place up to 8 land items on your plot. Each item raises your plot’s Flame by rarity:

• Common: 0.05%

• Rare: 0.10%

• Epic: 0.75%

• Mystic: 1.5%

Land items boost your AXP too, climbing from 1% at Common to 4% at Mystic.

Your item and plot environments matter too. Matching them adds a multiplier to the Atia’s Flame boost. Items that don’t match still count at their base boost, so a mix works fine. The full formula is in the graphic above.

Fortune Slips

In V1.1, you can now spend Fortune Slips to activate a buff that adds a 10% Atia’s Flame boost to your plot.

Each buff lasts 24 hours, and you can buy as many at once as you like, with every purchase adding another 24 hours to the timer. The buff counts down on its own, so there’s no need to check back every day to keep it active. Note: the 10% boost itself doesn’t stack, so buying more extends the time, not the strength.

Buffs apply per plot, so buy one for each plot you want boosted. The cost scales with your land type:

• Savannah: 3 slips

• Forest: 8 slips

• Arctic: 22 slips

• Mystic: 48 slips

• Genesis: 960 slips

• Luna’s Landing: 2,880 slips

How Your Feedback Is Shaping V1.1

We’re putting the full V1.1 picture out ahead of launch on purpose. We want you reading the numbers, testing the math against your own collection, and sending us your feedback. Some of these updates roll out in the coming weeks, and your feedback shapes how they land.

And we’re listening. We’ve read all the feedback since launch, and two updates are now in the pipeline:

Recover Local Lunium while spending Global

Right now, your plot has to refill its Local pool all the way to full before it can mine again, and while you spend Global, that Local pool sits idle and doesn’t regenerate.

With this update, your Local pool keeps recovering even as you mine on Global, and that recovery is credited toward your Global cost. You might expect the credit to equal your full recovery rate, but recovery only counts while a plot rests, not while it mines.

Take a Mystic plot. It mines at 600 Lunium per tick and recovers 120, which means for every tick it mines, it would take 5 ticks to recover that Lunium. Average that recovery across the full 6-tick cycle, and it comes to 100 per tick, not 120. So while you spend Global, your Local recovery covers part of the cost, bringing it down from 600 to 500 per tick.

This update ships July 2, ahead of the rest of V1.1.

Reworking the tick system’s interface

The hourly tick logic can get complicated, so we’re reworking the UI and UX to make what’s happening on your plot clearer at a glance.

Playtest 3 is all about PvP. For four days, you will face 8 rivals in a free-for-all to the death. Only the strongest Lunacians will survive. It’s time to sharpen your skills, climb above the rest, and claim your place as the strongest warriors in Lunacia. Do you have what it takes?

New PvP Mode: Free-for-All Deathmatch

Every warrior starts the same way: alone, in the open, surrounded by rivals who want the crown as much as you do. That’s the free-for-all. Eight players enter a 5-minute session, and the first to reach 10 kills or hold the highest kill-to-death ratio walks away the champion.

The map matters as much as your weapon. Designed for this playtest, it gives you bushes to hide in, walls to block attacks, and a special power-ups that grants buffs. Use the map to your advantage and ambush your opponents.

Here’s how to step into your first match:

Step 2: Sign in using your email and invite code
Step 3: Talk to Mei in the Town Hall
Step 4: Select PvP Combat
Step 5: Equip your weapon and click Find Match

4-Day Playtest, 6 Sessions

The purpose of this playtest is to introduce real-time PvP and stress-test latency to see if the server holds when many players queue at once. That’s why we’ve curated 6 focused sessions across the four days, so everyone can have the smoothest experience going into matches without long queues.

Five Weapons

In Playtest 3, we’re focusing on five weapons: axe, dagger, tome, bow, and lantern. Each opens a different play style, from tank to assassin, marksman, artillery, and mage. Here’s a recap of each weapon’s skills:

• Axe: High-damage bruiser with repeating strikes.

• Dagger: Dash and teleport for fast, agile strikes.

• Tome: Ranged magic nuker with crowd control.

• Bow: Ranged physical dealer that hits multiple lines.

• Lantern: Hybrid damage dealer with area-of-effect bursts.

Within a category, every weapon shares identical stats. The axe you wield matches your opponent’s axe exactly, so skill decides the fight, not gear. What your weapon changes is your Movement Speed, Max HP, and Stamina Regen. Test all five, find the one that fights like you do, and dominate the trials.

New Axie Features

Beyond the basic attack, ultimate, and dash, Playtest 3 brings three new features that change how you fight:

• Speed Up: A new skill button that boosts your axie’s movement speed while active.

• HP Regen: Recover HP when you stay out of combat for 5 seconds.

• Respawn: After a defeat, move your axie to the spot where you want to return.

Speed up to run down a fleeing opponent, or slip into the bushes to heal and fight another round. How you use them is the difference between a good run and a winning one.

Note: Every axie in this playtest carries the exact same stats, including Mystic axies. There are no passive skills or stat differences from axie parts.

The Mushroom

Sometimes the trials offer a gift, and the Lunacian brave enough to take it pulls ahead. The mushroom is a new PvP power-up that spawns at random across the map. Smash it to get one of three buffs: increased movement speed, attack damage, HP regen, or all three at once if you get lucky.

These buffs can be stacked on top of each other and last until you’re defeated, at which point you’ll lose all your buffs. Taking down a buffed opponent lets you steal half of what they carried. The longer you survive, the deadlier you become, and the bigger the target on your back.

The PvP Challenge: Trial of Eight

Glory is its own reward, but the arena offers more. Trial of Eight brings live competition to Dojo with three prize events and 2,500 bAXS on the line.

One entry unlocks all three. Pay 1 AXS entry fee, and you’re in for every event below:

Main Event Leaderboard — 1,500 bAXS

The heart of the Trial. Climb across the reward sessions, where wins, kills, and K/D ratio decide who rises to the top.

The Kill Race — 500 bAXS

A hunt for the most kills across the reward sessions. Stack your eliminations and claim your share.

The Letter Race — 500 bAXS

Every 5 kills earns a roll, and every roll draws a random letter. Spell out “TRIAL OF EIGHT” to complete the phrase. The first to finish ranks highest. Rolls open July 2, 04:00 UTC and close July 4, 18:00 UTC.

Reward sessions run from Session 3 through 6.

Your 1 AXS entry must be confirmed before Session 3 begins on July 2, 04:00 UTC.

How to enter:

Step 1: Go to Dojo and sign in
Step 2: Link the Ronin wallet you’ll use for the event
Step 3: Press Enter Competition
Step 4: Pay 1 AXS entry fee
Step 5: Wait for Dojo to verify your payment, then play the scheduled sessions

• Terrariums V1 is LIVE! Activate your plots, send your axies to their Atia’s Shrines, and watch your land earn bAXS every hour. It’s the first step toward the Land vision we shared back in 2019. With this release, Homeland has officially sunset.

• Your plots start empty and spend the opening 48 hours recharging. The First Earning Tick lands June 19 at 07:00 UTC, so use the window to activate your land and set up your plots. Top up Global Lunium to mine from the very first tick.

• Top up during the 7-Day Flash Sale: Every Essentials package comes with a Lunium boost of up to 50% for the first seven days, and bigger packages earn bigger bonuses. The new Blessings package opens once the sale ends.

Enter Terrariums

Terrariums are as old as Lunacia itself.

Listening to the land, the planet’s first inhabitants marked plots based on the rhythms of the soil and stone. Then they built shrines to mark where the ground had spoken.

When Atia came, he placed eternal flames in each shrine. Upon his death, his heart became the moon, and its pulse fell into rhythm with the energy of the land. The heavens and earth united in an eternal heartbeat.

During the great war, the moon burst and its shards rained across Lunacia, pieces of Atia’s heart driven into the land. They gathered in the nodes where his essence had always run strong.

Terrariums are the fertile lands surrounding these ancient shrines, the spiritual and functional foundation of axie life.

2 Days to Prepare Before the First bAXS

Terrariums is now live, and your plots start empty. Activating your land puts it into resting mode, where it recharges Local Lunium over about five days. Earning doesn’t begin yet, so use these two days to activate your land, bring your axies in, and set up your plots the way you want.

The First Earning Tick begins on June 19 at 07:00 UTC. From that point, your land mines every hour around the clock.

Here’s the catch: free Local Lunium can’t be spent until it fully recharges, which takes about five days. Earning starts in two. So a plot on Local Lunium alone earns nothing at the First Earning Tick. Top up Global Lunium during the 7-Day Flash Sale and your land mines from the very first earning tick.

Core Mechanics: Basic Terms to Know

Here are the core terms to know before you dive in:

• Tick: The hourly heartbeat of Terrariums. Every hour, your land burns Lunium, draws Atia’s Flame from your axies, and earns its share of the bAXS pool. Any changes you make to a plot take effect on the next Tick.

• Lunium: The off-chain resource that powers your land and lets it earn bAXS. Comes in two types, Global and Local (more below).

• Atia’s Flame: Your axie power. The rarer your axies, the more Flame they bring, and the bigger your share of the bAXS pool.

Global and Local Lunium

There are two types of Lunium:

• Global Lunium is purchased Lunium. You can buy it in the in-game shop starting at $0.99 for 25,000 Lunium, with no cap on how much you hold. It works across every plot under your account.

• Local Lunium is free. Each plot generates it slowly on its own, roughly five days of regen for one day of earning at full pace, and it’s capped per plot.

Top up if you want full speed, or let it tick over at its own pace.

You can also choose which Lunium to spend first:

• Prioritize Global: spends Global first, then rolls into Local once it runs out.

• Prioritize Local: spends Local only, then stops without touching your Global.

Maximizing Your Atia’s Flame

Your Atia’s Flame decides your share of the bAXS pool, so the goal is simple: bring as much Flame onto your plots as you can. Rarer axies carry more Atia’s Flame than common ones. A normal axie brings 5, while a Mystic brings 1,000, so a handful of rare axies can outweigh a plot full of commons.

To earn from that Flame, your axies must be in Atia’s Shrine. Only axies in the Shrine generate Atia’s Flame and earn bAXS, while any axies left outside earn AXP each Tick instead. From there it comes down to slots: owned plots hold 30 axies and free plots hold 10, so fill every slot with the rarest axies you own.

Note: Axies and plots listed for sale on App.axie can’t be used in Terrariums. The reverse is also true: axies and plots locked in Terrariums can’t be listed for sale or transferred. Delist or unlock first before moving them between the two.

Pro-tip: Axies you’ve delegated can stay delegated and still work on your own Terrariums. No need to end your delegation.

How Rewards are Calculated

Each plot type shares a set bAXS prize pool, split between owners by the Atia’s Flame they bring each Tick.

For example, an Arctic plot has a monthly pool of 38,893 bAXS, paid out at 54.02 bAXS per Tick across every Arctic owner. Your share depends on how much Atia’s Flame your axies bring against the total Atia’s Flame of all actively mining plots in that category.

Here’s the formula:

In Homeland, every plot had a fixed AXS ceiling, whereas in Terrariums, your earnings move with your category depending on the total Atia’s Flame of all actively mining plots in that category and how well your plot stacks up against them.

Pro-tip: Your share depends on the total Atia’s Flame of all actively mining plots in your category. A category with less Flame can pay better, even if that plot ranks below your best. If you own different land types and many collectible axies, check which categories have low Flame first. Spreading your axies there can earn you a bigger share than placing them all on one plot. V1 works fine if you play passively, but a little planning can boost your rewards.

How Tile Trials works

Tile Trials is a push-your-luck tile run. Each row shows several tiles and hides one trap. Pick a safe tile and you move deeper, building up your run score. Hit the trap and the run ends with 0 from that run, unless your axie’s class ability saves you.

After any safe pick, you can extract to bank that run’s score. The deeper you go, the more there is to bank, but the next row is one more chance to bust. Only extracted runs count toward your total.

Your Axie decides your style

Any axie you own can play, and its class sets your class ability. Each ability is primed before you pick a tile, and most spend a charge when used. You start every run with 1 charge and can unlock up to 4 across the run, at specific rows per class.

Nine classes are available at launch, each with a unique ability:

• 🌱 Plant — Sage Sight: 75% chance to dodge a trap. Fail and bust.

• 🐟 Aquatic — Tide Roll: 50% chance to survive a trap. Fail and bust.

• 🐺 Beast — Bull Rush: Survive any trap, lose 25% of your Diamonds. Doesn’t spend a charge on safe picks.

• 🐛 Bug — Hex Misdirection: Survive any trap, but score nothing from that row.

• 🐦 Bird — Take Flight: Guaranteed safe pick. Next pick has a 20% bust chance from Windburn.

• 🦎 Reptile — Shell Guard: Guaranteed safe pick, but only 60% of normal Diamonds.

• ⚙️ Mech — Overclock: Safe tile gives +25% Diamonds. Trap is a 50% survive with no score. Fail and bust.

• 🌅 Dawn — Second Light: Guaranteed safe pick. Next safe pick scores no Diamonds.

• 🌑 Dusk — Shadow Step: Guaranteed safe pick with no Diamonds. Next trap converts to safe.

How to Enter

You need at least one Codex S1 Mini Path to compete. The more paths you own, the more energy you start with and the more lore questions you unlock.

During Competition Week, there’s no free daily energy. Base energy is credited the moment you connect your wallet and verify your Codex Mini Paths, and it refreshes daily: 10 for one path, 20 for two, 30 for a Full Pass. Bonus energy from the Lore Challenge is a one-time stack, not daily, so plan how you spend it.

Introducing the Lore Challenge

The Lore Challenge rewards what you know. Answer questions about the paths you own and earn bonus energy, +2 for Easy, +5 for Medium, +10 for Hard. Wrong answers add 0, so think before you tap.

Access scales with how many paths you hold. One path unlocks the Easy question, two paths add the Medium, and a Full Pass opens all three. Stack the base energy and the bonus together and the ceilings come out to 12 energy for one path, 27 for two, and 47 for a Full Pass

Each energy is one run. The more you hold, the more shots at extracting a high score.

The Prizes

There is one leaderboard and two rewards.

The bAXS pool unlocks at community milestones. The more Mini Paths sold before the season ends, the higher the pool climbs:

• 750 paths sold → 250 bAXS

• 2,250 paths → 750 bAXS

• 4,500 paths → 1,500 bAXS

• 9,000 paths → 3,000 bAXS

• 12,000 paths → 5,000 bAXS

Only the highest tier reached unlocks, so every path purchase pushes the whole community closer to the next jump.

1st place takes 14% of the unlocked pool plus an Origin axie! The Top 30 finishers also take home collectible axies, guaranteed for the top of the leaderboard regardless of which milestone the pool reaches.

The Competition Week leaderboard ranks players by total extracted Diamonds across all runs during June 1–7 UTC. Busts add nothing. Only extracted runs count, so knowing when to bank matters as much as knowing when to push.

Every run starts with 100 Stamina, and every move spends 1. When Stamina hits 0, the run ends. Defeat enemies, smash breakables, clear floors, and pick upgrades to shape your build. At every floor you face the same choice: push deeper for richer loot, or extract what you’ve earned. Runs take 3 to 5 minutes, so you can squeeze one in anywhere.

The Keys you spend feed the prize pools, and 90% of every Key flows back to players. The bigger your haul at week’s end, the bigger your share.

Today we’re sharing a progress update on two upcoming projects: Atia’s Legacy, our Axie MMO, and Terrariums, a land-based digital pet experience set in the Axie universe.

Two builds are closing in, and they’re asking different things of you. One wants you sharp. Playtest 3 is pure PvP, pick an axie and fight. The other wants you to slow down. Terrariums V1 is your axies settling into a home that keeps ticking whether you’re watching or not.

Both arrive around the same time. A one-two punch.

This is a snapshot of where things stand today. Details may change as development continues.

Playtest 3: All about PvP

This playtest is PvP only. Pick an Axie, queue up, and fight. You asked for this, so we stripped everything else out. We want your full attention on how combat feels against a real opponent, and how the system holds up with nothing else to lean on.

The Free-For-All Arena

You’ve made it clear you want multiplayer PvP, and free-for-all is where we’re starting. The team is still working through arena layout and match size, testing those decisions inside the engine. That leak some of you spotted was one of them.

Two Ideas in Testing

Two of these ideas are still early in development, so treat them as such.

The first is a player-built arena. You shape the battleground yourself, and the maps you build could be where the community fights next.

The second is interactive objects in a fight. A buff that spawns into the arena, or one you have to break open to claim. Done right, the arena itself becomes part of your strategy, and a well-timed grab can swing a match.

Note: Neither is locked in. If they don’t make this playtest, they’re first in line for the next one.

If everything goes to plan, the PvP playtest launches by the end of June.

Exploration Note: Terrariums

If you’ve been here since 2019, you know what we were chasing with Land. A place where your Axies actually lived. Biomes you could walk through. A world that grew around your collection instead of sitting idle in a wallet.

That promise took a long road. A lot of you waited longer than you should’ve had to.

Terrariums is a nod to the original concept.

The art is done, and we leaned hard into nostalgia on purpose. Mystic, Forest, Arctic, Savannah, Genesis. The names we dreamed up in 2019, drawn the way they should’ve been drawn the first time.

The bigger picture is that Terrariums are homes for your axies. Somewhere for them to settle, somewhere for your collection to belong. Over time it becomes the layer that gives your axies a reason to grow, and gives you a reason to keep coming back to the ones you’ve held onto for years.

V1 is the first step toward that, and we want to be honest about what it is right now. It’s gamified staking, built to respect your time. You activate a plot, put your axies to work, burn some Lunium, and the land starts earning. Light by design. We’re starting small and solid, then growing the world from there. We won’t pretend V1 is the full 2019 vision. It’s the first honest step toward it.

When Terrariums launches, it replaces Homeland. The systems you use today come with you into one persistent layer, and Homeland sunsets the moment Terrariums goes live.

We’re finishing the UI now and adding a short tutorial to get you in, even though day-to-day activity stays simple.

Terrariums runs on an hourly tick. Every hour, the world moves a step forward on its own. Your land spends Lunium, earns bAXS, and keeps going while you’re off doing other things. Your axies are home, and the world moves on its own time.

We’re still figuring out the economy. Land has always been a major reward generator in Axie, and we want something built to last, something that holds up instead of paying out fast and fading. Genuinely send us your suggestions. We’d rather build this with you than hand it down.

Lunium: Fuel for Your Land

Lunium is a new off-chain resource that powers your land and lets it earn bAXS. From there, your rewards scale with your axie power, which we may end up calling Atia’s Flame. The structure works like the Bounty Board: each plot type shares a prize pool, and the pool gets split between owners based on the points they hold.

There are two ways to get Lunium:

1. Buy Lunium packs

2. Earn free Lunium that your land generates on its own

Buying packs keeps your land running at full pace, consuming Lunium each tick to earn bAXS. Free Lunium works the same way, but it regenerates slowly. Roughly five days of regen for one day of earning at full pace. Top up if you want full speed, or let it tick over at its own pace. Both are fine.

None of these names are final and details can still shift, which is exactly why we’re putting it in front of you now.

The type of land you hold and the axies you own both push your bAXS earning higher. It’s the first step toward full Axie Core integration.

If everything goes to plan, Terrariums launches by the end of June.

• The Axie Treasury will soon earn RON rewards! As one of Ronin’s most-active ecosystems, Axie is expected to get a waterfall of fresh RON rewards from Ronin’s new Proof of Distribution system.

• Lunacians like YOU are the reason Axie gets these rewards: Starting May 12th, Ronin will reward builders based on the onchain activity they generate. That means every App.axie trade, Rune and Charm mint, and even axie breeding session will increase the rewards going to Axie Infinity!

In 2021, we launched Ronin so Axie could spread its wings. Together, Axie and Ronin went on to define an entire industry. Today, that bond is getting stronger. Axie Infinity is set to earn a lion’s share of RON rewards from Ronin’s Proof of Distribution reward system, and 100% of these rewards will go to the Axie Treasury. Here’s what’s happening:

How can Axie earn RON?

Ronin’s reward system is changing on May 12th. Instead of spraying staking rewards to a large number of users, Ronin will redirect a focused waterfall of RON to the networks’ top builders. That includes Axie.

Rewards are distributed monthly, and are based on a Builder Score that captures the past month of onchain data. NFT volume, DEX volume, gas spend, and other metrics determine how many rewards each team will get. Our internal estimates suggest Axie could earn as much as 200,000 RON per month. We’ve chosen to direct ALL of these rewards to the Axie Treasury, which means YOUR onchain actions will keep making Lunacia even stronger.

Note: In the future, we may redirect Axie’s RON rewards in other ways that benefit Lunacia. Let us know if you have any ideas. This is just the beginning.

Why this matters for Axie

Axie sits at the heart of Ronin’s onchain activity. Most of Axie’s Builder Score maps to things Lunacians already do every day: marketplace trades, Katana swaps, breeding, forging, ascensions, evolutions, Rune and Charm mints. Every wallet that holds over 10 RON and touches an Axie contract counts too.

This is what the Axie economy has always run on. The same activity that keeps Lunacia moving now earns Axie a monthly share of RON, just for showing up.

What Comes Next

No action required yet. Sky Mavis will review Builder Score calculations every month according to builder and user feedback, while also considering how to best grow the Ronin ecosystem. Regardless, the core idea stays the same: The more happening onchain, the more the community earns. Welcome to the next chapter of Axie on Ronin.

How Axie: DoM Works

Axie: DoM is a roguelike dungeon crawler. Go deeper, find better loot, take it home. The game loop is simple:

Buy Keys → Enter the Den → Find Treasure, Shards, and Blessings → Earn weekly rewards.

This creates a positive flywheel:

• More Keys spent

• Larger prize pools

• Larger payouts

• More players

You enter the Den as Buba. Every run starts with 100 Stamina, and every move costs 1. When Stamina hits 0, the run ends.

Defeat enemies and smash breakables to find Stamina, Treasure, and Shards. Clear a floor, pick upgrades to shape your build, and decide whether to push deeper or extract what you’ve got. Take down the Werewolf for an instant USDC payout. The deeper you go, the better the loot, and the harder the enemies hit.

Runs are quick, around 3-5 minutes each. The Keys you spend feed the prize pools, and at the end of the week, the bigger your haul, the bigger your share.

What You’ll Find in the Den

Beyond enemies and loot, the dungeon has a few features worth knowing

• Gates: teleport elsewhere on the floor (costs Treasure)

• Portals: advance to the next floor (restores 10 Stamina)

• Fountains: restore 10 Stamina (one-time use)

Use them well and you’ll go further on every run.

Keys & Starting a Run

Keys are how you enter, and they’re how you scale your rewards. Think of them like arcade tokens.

• Purchased with ETH, AXS, RON, or USDC

• Each Key costs ~$2

• Spend 1 or more Keys per run

• Each Key multiplies your loot on every pickup

E.g. Spending 3 Keys triples every loot drop. Spending 15 Keys boosts your Blessing odds by 1.97×. The key boost for Blessings is capped at 15 Keys.

Play Axie: DoM

Treasure, Shards, and Blessings

Loot in the Den comes in three forms, and each one pays out in its own way. The amount you collect from each pickup also scales with the Keys you spent on the run, so the more Keys you commit, the bigger the rewards.

Treasure

Treasure is earned during runs and tracks across the week. At the weekly reset, the Weekly Prize Pool snapshots and pays out in USDC, proportional to your share of total Treasure collected. More Treasure = larger weekly USDC payout

Shards

Shards track separately and $5,000 USD worth of bAXS is distributed weekly to the top 100 Shard collectors for the first 4 weeks of launch. You can earn it during runs and it’s also tracked across the week. The bAXS prize pool kicks in on May 1 at 4pm UTC, right after the weekly reset.

Blessings

Blessings are instant USDC payouts that drop only when you defeat the Werewolf, the boss in the Den. It spawns between Floors 7 and 15 with an 8% spawn rate per floor and can only be beaten once per run. Beating the Werewolf can drop one of the following:

• Mega Blessing: pays out 2% of the entire Blessing Pool

• Major Blessing: pays out 0.5% of the Blessing Pool

• Minor Blessing: pays out 0.1% of the Blessing Pool

• Treasure

• +Bonus Shards

Defeating the Werewolf also fully restores your Stamina, giving you the runway to push deeper.

The trade-off is real. The Werewolf is easier to take down on lower floors, but the Blessing odds are slim. Push deeper and he hits harder, but the chances of a Mega hit climb.

Spending more Keys on a run also boosts your odds of landing a Blessing instead of bonus loot, so a heavier entry pays off twice over.

Unlike the Weekly Prize Pool, the Blessing Pool never resets. It grows when Keys are spent and shrinks when Blessings are won, with a self-balancing system that protects the pool when it dips.

Three ways to earn, three ways to play. Stack them however you like.

Play Axie: DoM

Weekly Prize Pool

The Weekly Prize Pool grows every time a Key is bought and every Key splits three ways:

• 60% → Weekly Prize Pool (paid to Treasure holders at week’s end)

• 30% → Blessing Pool (instant USDC payouts on Werewolf hits)

• 10% → Studio Rake (development and ops)

That leaves 90% of every Key going back to players.

At weekly finalization, all Treasure is snapshotted, USDC is distributed proportionally, and rewards become claimable immediately.

The more players in the Den, the bigger the pools, the bigger the payouts.

More Heroes Are Coming

The Den is dangerous, and Buba is the first Axie to step into the dungeon. He’ll need every Lunacian who joins him in the fight.

For now, every player starts with Buba as their hero. But Buba is far from the only Axie ready to brave the Den. More heroes are waiting their turn, and they’ll join soon…

Q: Can I pause my run? A: Yes. Selecting Pause & Exit saves your progress. Paused runs can be resumed until the end of the current weekly cycle.

Q: What happens if my run is still active when the weekly resets?
A: It finalizes automatically. Loot collected during the run gets locked in and counts toward the cycle in which the run was started.

Q: When can I claim rewards?
A: Weekly rewards become claimable right after the weekly reset. Blessing rewards are paid instantly.

Q: Do reward claims expire?
A: No. Claims never expire and can be collected any time.

Q: Can the Werewolf appear multiple times in a run?
A: It may spawn multiple times, but once defeated it will not return in the same run.

Playtest 2 is behind us. The community showed up. The feedback rolled in. The team has been building ever since.

This entry covers what we learned from Playtest 2, what’s coming for PvP, and the first real look inside Terrariums.

Quick note: what follows is a snapshot of where things stand, not a release commitment.

Exploration Note - Atia’s Legacy

Playtest 2 gave us what we needed: data, feedback, and a clearer picture of where the game stands.

Every piece of feedback shapes what the game becomes. Thank you to the playtesters who showed up.

Some of you told us the core loop is working:

“The core gameplay loop is practically perfect in terms of time to kill, item stats, item cost, mob difficulty scaling, dungeon rewards, difficulty, weapon rarities and drop rates. And with the recent patch even the combat pacing is fast paced, modern and addictive. In future builds please don’t make it worse — add higher level dungeons and higher rarity items. Don’t nerf, only buff.”

The dungeons are landing:

“Gameplay so addictive, combined with strategy and some luck. Especially when doing dungeons — you need to experience losing your best set of equipment to learn a lot of lessons.”

The sharper feedback. We read every line:

“Bugs heavily impact the experience. I can’t use the strongest weapon (bow bugged) and the dagger still sends you outside the map. Outside the bugs, the game is not fluid/reactive enough.”

“The visibility bug on Android. Enemies and NPCs sometimes do not appear correctly, and I can only see HP bars. It makes exploration and combat much harder than intended.”

“Many weapons feel very slow, the combat lacks dynamism, and the abilities need to be more visually appealing.”

The bow. The dagger. Android visibility. Weapon pacing. Ability VFX. All logged, all in the queue.

One piece of feedback came up in almost every response:

“Lack of pvp, a few critical bugs like bow which haven’t worked for me since start of playtests — and that was the easiest weapon.”

PvP is next.

Hundreds of responses came in from Playtest 2. Every one of them shaped the next phase. But the playtest told us something else, too.

Running live ops through an external platform like dojo.axieinfinity.com works. When live ops lives outside the game client, the game team can focus on what matters most: the game. The platform runs the activity. The team builds the world. That separation works, so we’re keeping it.

Which brings us to the next playtest.

Each playtest has a focus. Playtest 2 was PvE. The next one is all PvP.

You might remember early PvP footage from a previous Lunacian Lounge:

The 3v3 demand is loud. Playing alongside friends. Building axie synergies across a squad. We hear you, and we're building it.

For this playtest, every player uses preset axies.

The goal: stress-test the PvP system itself. If everything goes to plan, PvP kicks off in the next few months.

No long waits this time.

Exploration Note - App.axie

Codex Season 1 is halfway through.

Watching the lore roll out has been the most exciting part of this release. What players read in the Codex connects to what they face in Atia’s Legacy. That’s the vision working as intended. Kilnbane lives on both sides of the wall now.

Lore delivery still has room to grow. We’ve been thinking hard about formats and channels we haven’t tried yet.

More on that soon.

With Codex Season 1 deployed, the team shifted focus to Terrariums. This is the part we’ve been waiting to share.

Terrariums V1 is in active development. Art, smart contract engineers, front-end, back-end, and systems design. Every team is moving in parallel on one of the most cross-functional builds we’ve ever run.

V1 is the first layer of a much larger vision. Terrariums in their full form will take time. But V1 is real. In V1, we’re building the economic primitives first. Gameplay layers on from there.

You’ve seen one image already.

That’s a land plot. Open to every Lunacian.

We wouldn’t stop there. Beyond the shared plots, your own plot, your piece of Lunacia, is also in progress.

Each biome is a character, not a backdrop.

One design question we’ve been wrestling with: balance.

Land in Axie has always generated rewards. AXP flowing to multiple axies at once, token rewards in the background, a passive engine that runs whether you play or not.

That works. But we started asking whether passive generation should be the whole story.

Our answer: it should not. It should be a choice. A meaningful one, with trade-offs that fit how you actually play.

That thinking extends to the broader ecosystem. Terrariums will connect to what Lunacians already own:

• Collectible axies

• Land Items

• Accessories

• Axie core levels

Beyond that, your collection gets a place to live, interact, and mean something. We’re still designing the shape. The direction is set: utility that fits what you already have.

Here’s the part we’re most excited about.

At the heart of V1: the hourly tick system.

Every hour, the world moves forward. Resources shift. Activities resolve. Progress compounds. It’s the pulse that turns a land plot from a static image into a living piece of Lunacia.

Designing around ticks forces clarity. What happens each hour? What’s worth checking in on? What rewards attention without demanding it?

These are the questions shaping V1. The answers are coming.
