Years ago, we embarked on a journey to build a land-based Axie game, and it all began with our crate sale for land plots. Those who collected all the available land items at the time received something extraordinary: a plot in Luna's Landing. Today, those plots became real.
Luna's Landing is more than a special island of 8 plots at the heart of Lunacia. It’s a brand new area in Homeland chock full of perks for holders and extra resources for ALL players! For example, Luna’s Landing and nearby areas are loaded with higher-level gemstones, mines, trees, quarries, and more.
Visit the area for a better chance of securing higher-level nodes. This rewards plot owners while making other players’ Moonfall or Bounty Board quests that much easier. Here’s an overview of what went LIVE on Luna’s Landing:

Luna’s Landing Surrounding Area Benefits
In this section, you’ll see why Luna’s Landing and the surrounding area make Homeland better for ALL players. First, higher-level nodes have a greater chance of spawning in these parts of Lunacia. For example, you’re more likely to find a Level 5 Gemstone Mine here than on a Genesis plot. Second, many nodes have a higher minimum starting level. For example, Precious Metal Mines will start at Level 3. As a result, players can expect to find higher-level rewards in this area. Here’s a quick overview of these bonuses:

Every plot type features unique activity completion times — including Luna’s Landing. Production duration is 40% faster. Alchemy Dismantle and Combine times are shorter. This gives Luna’s Landing plot owners and their Stewards some small superpowers in Homeland!
Plot Reward Modifiers
All Homeland plots earn Ancient Coins redeemable for mAXS. However, Luna’s Landing plots will generate over 52K mAXS, which is almost 3x MOAR earning power than Genesis plots! Owners will also enjoy a 70% chance of receiving Moonfall Tickets, as well as the potential to earn 320 Gold per all type of quests completed.

Seven years ago, a ragtag band of missionaries gave rise to the nation of Lunacia. A nation with a vision for digital ownership, dedicated to making Web3 gaming as fun and accessible as possible.
Today, we stand on the edge of that nation’s ever-growing borders with a fresh sparkle in our eyes. We’re ready for a new year. A new adventure. Our victories over the past twelve months have put us in a strong position to take flight again, together.
Bounty Boards were born. SLP became deflationary. Metrics shot up and to the right. Let’s talk about why:
Part 1: Axie by the Numbers
The Axie ecosystem has seen sustained growth over the past 365 days. Game DAA and MAA saw steady increases as Bounty Board participants grew month-over-month.
App.axie trading volume surpassed $30M USD in 2024, with a surge driven by Coinbase’s Learn and Earn Campaign.
The Premier Bounty Board and Wings of Nightmare releases fuelled the continuation of this trend through H2.
The Axie Treasury also grew by $4M USD, averaging over $330K in revenue per month. A good chunk of this volume came from the Wings of Nightmare event in November.
The SLP Stability Fund’s monetary policies also resulted in an annualized deflation rate of 0.57%, which means more tokens were burned than emitted in 2024.
AXS even became THE top gaming token, joining the Coinbase 50 Index with other top tokens beyond gaming.
It was a good year to be a Lunacian.
Mystic Axies: the Ronin Jewel
Over the past year, Mystic axie holders received a firehose of benefits including Whitelist access to major Ronin launches, a steady stream of Fortune Slips, access to the Premier Bounty Board, a high Axie Score bonus, in-game discounts, and more. During that time, demand for Mystic axies also increased: in January, floor price sat at 4.4 ETH when ETH was around $2.3K USD and rose to 5.5 ETH by the end of the year. It’s no secret that Mystic axies are the most-coveted collectible in Lunacia. At this point, holding one is becoming a statement that says, “I made it.”
Mystic axies are the rarest subset of axies in existence. Their unique parts have distinct aesthetics from their normal counterparts. There are fewer than 1,500 in Lunacia.
Part 2: A Year of Relentless Shipping
In hindsight, Lunacia’s 2024 looks like a stable staircase marching up and to the right. However, the year was packed with milestones that reshaped the Axie economy.
For example, Bounty Boards established new ways for the most devoted missionaries to earn rewards. Wings of Nightmare introduced an entire new collection of axies, driving a renewed interest in burning and breeding. The SLP Monetary Policy also became a mechanism to manage SLP-related costs for players.
These key moments attracted new and returning players to Axie. In this section, we’ll zoom into that:
App.axie: Wings of Nightmare, Bounty Boards, Delegation, and Governance
“All of Axie, Together.” That was the headline we used in 2022 after upgrading our marketplace to a full-fledged app and website of its own. Looking back on 2024, we’ve stayed true to that mission and even delivered a few long-awaited features. Here’s a recap:
Wings of Nightmare
Wings of Nightmare went LIVE in November of last year. This was Axie Core’s biggest release since Part Evolution, where 24 base parts became evolvable into brand new Nightmare collectible parts. That meant fresh parts entered the arenas, new axies hit the marketplace, and the axie economy got a huge shot in the arm. We even saw 12K AXS flow into the Axie Treasury within 14 days of launch!
Play-to-Rice and Bounty Boards 🍚
At the beginning of the year, we challenged ourselves to reimagine the ways our community earned rewards. How could we honor dedicated Lunacians beyond in-game leaderboard rewards, AXS staking rewards, and Axie Experience Points (AXP)? The answer: Bounty Boards.
The first Bounty Board launched in April, and started as a questing system that rewarded good Lunacian habits. Complete bounties, earn rewards. The initial 10K AXS weekly prize pool was a hit, so we doubled down and launched a second Premier Bounty Board stacked with new challenges. Today, thousands of players earn AXS through these Bounty Boards every week — all through App.axie.
Axie Infinity introduced millions of gamers to Web3 a few years ago by leveraging an informal rental model that matched scholars with managers. In a nutshell, players were playing with each other’s axies and splitting the rewards. Last year, we formalized this model and launched Axie Delegation on App.axie! The Scholar Pages made it easier than ever for players to match with each other, and the integration went LIVE across Origins, Classic, Homeland, and even the Bounty Boards! Anyone, anywhere can now play with another Lunacian’s axies and land plots.
Governance
Since the beginning of Axie Infinity, we’ve had a big idea: together, we can build and improve an immersive gaming world within Lunacia. But making this idea a reality means getting everyone involved and doing some serious planning together. In the past, we’ve discussed our vision of progressive decentralization, and how we thought Axie Governance was foundational to this.
May 17th, 2024 marked the birth of the Axie Governance Portal on App.axie. This was more than a new feature that tracks Axie Scores: it was the culmination of years of hard work by countless Lunacians with a shared vision.
The Axie Governance Portal enabled the first proposal to pass after a nation-wide vote. As a result, members within Axie community-based smart contract upgrade committees can now authorize and oversee future contract upgrades on behalf of our digital nation! Of course, there’s more nuance to this proposal, and you can read about it here if you’re interested.
Axie Games: Origins, Classic, and Homeland
Our flagship games welcomed legions of new and returning players over the past twelve months. The launch of Guilds ignited a boom in Classic, Origins’ Meta Morph feature also surprised many by causing a massive rush to burn SLP, and Homeland’s cadence of events kept Lunacians coming back for more. It was a fun year for Axie players. So much to do, so many rewards. Let’s talk about it:
Axie Classic
Classic is the game that brought millions to our movement. We introduced Guilds to the game last year, which means players can now team up, compete against other teams, and earn tons of rewards! This led to the launch of Guild Wars, the Classic Competitive Circuit, and six separate seasons. Stay tuned for the Axie World Cup in 2025.
IRL Esports Tournaments took place around the world for both Classic and Origins — with thousands of AXS in rewards up for grabs. Axie Classic Guild Wars SEA became the highlight of the year, showcasing that Web3 games can deliver great esports experiences. Axie esports even thrived through the bear market.
Axie Origins
Origins saw the addition of new features including Meta Morph, which enabled players to transform their axie’s cards. This led to unprecedented SLP burning, and brought even more utility to axies. Think about it: axies can now evolve and their parts can morph. How many other NFTs can do that? We also pushed through five seasons together!
Axie Homeland
Homeland saw the addition of new features including upgraded an upgraded Passive Adventure, a new Avatar Mode, and an injection of fresh rewards through various events. Our teams delivered most of what we set out to build, and our community enjoyed a variety of live-ops events throughout the year. We also minted Luna’s Landing plots, and handed out exclusive Luna’s Landing badges!
There’s only one way to say this: 2025 will be like nothing Lunacia has ever seen. We’ve spent the last year launching new features, fine-tuning games, and tying up loose ends — and we’re ready for a new chapter of growth. Next year, we’re looking to make bigger, bolder bets on YOU. We’re consolidating our forces. Loading new artillery. Look to our channels for a major update in Q1. How to Use Ronin Waypoint on App.Axie
Step 1: Log in on App.Axie using the Login with Ronin Waypoint option.
If you’re already logged in on App.Axie using your Ronin Wallet, you can switch to your Keyless Wallet and vice versa by clicking on your profile in the upper right corner of the site and clicking the switch button.
NOTE:The site will only show you assets in the wallet you are currently switched to. Switching to your Keyless wallet means you will only see assets in your Keyless wallet until you switch back to your other wallet.
Step 2: Confirm the authorization prompt and log in using Ronin Waypoint.
Step 3: You’re done! Start transacting on App.axie now.
Note that the following features might not be fully optimized through Ronin Waypoint: bulk buying, bulk delegation, forging, and Garuda Pouch opening.
If you encounter any errors, consider reducing the bulk action amount to less than 10 (e.g opening 10 pouches, delegating or buying not more than 10 axies)
How to Make App.Axie Transactions with Ronin Waypoint
Remember to switch to your keyless wallet on App.Axie to make transactions using Ronin Waypoint. You’ll also have to make sure you have the required tokens in your Keyless wallet, because the address and holdings of your seed phrase wallet will be different than the address and holdings of your Ronin Waypoint account.
Step 1: Proceed to perform any transaction on App.Axie. In this example, we’re initiating an axie purchase transaction.
Step 2: Confirm the transaction on the browser pop-up. Using Ronin Waypoint, the transaction confirmation takes place in a browser pop-up and will not use the Ronin Wallet app/extension.
NOTE:If there’s no available free gas vouchers, you will need RON in your Keyless wallet to pay for gas fees when submitting your transactions.
Step 3: If the transaction has been completed, you’ll be able to see this auto-closing window.
It can be hard to keep track of your axies’ statuses from Delegation to Evolution and beyond. That’s why we put everything you need to know about your axie in one UI card. Delegation Status. Permission Status for Delegation. Highest offer available. Evolution Status. Forging Status. Get a bird’s eye view of your axies’ statuses!
Pro-tip: you can now check out your RON balance in the inventory dashboard. This makes it easier to keep track of your available funds.

Axie Classic S7 will last four weeks, which means both Arena and Guild leaderboards will run until January 24th at 8AM PH / January 23rd at 8PM EST. The Top 16 players will qualify for the Season Championship, and the Season Champion will qualify for the Axie Classic World Cup. Mini Tournaments last until February 1st at 8AM PH / January 31st at 8PM EST. Here’s an overview of what’s new:

There are two types of Towers in Classic S7: Nightmare Towers and Community Towers. Nightmare Towers are stacked with teams of Nightmare axies, while Community Towers are loaded with axies submitted by the community.
Tower Mode is a new PvE game mode in Axie Classic. Defeat axie teams —> Complete floors —> Earn stars and rewards —> Accumulate AXP. Floors increase in difficulty, which means your opponents get faster and stronger as you progress up the Tower. Complete one floor to unlock the next one, then start cranking up the difficulty level at you climb your way to the top! Learn more here:
What do Heartbreaks, Balloon Pops, and Air Force One have in common? Answer: they’re all names of the fresh Level 2 cards that just went LIVE in Classic’s Cursed Coliseum. We shipped a total of 33 cards for Bird, Bug, and Reptile axies, which represents a total of 33 new cards. Filter all Level 2 cards in Card Collections.
Updates to Artifacts and Battle Passes
Artifacts are items that enable players to change an axie’s class. Starting now, players can save artifacts to an axie team! This makes it easier to keep track of which team is using a particular artifact. Thank you to the Axie Classic community for encouraging us to ship this feature.
Battle Passes and Premium Passes are also making a comeback with an exclusive banner — with a few upgrades. Check them out below, and keep reading for explanation of Gear:
